ACHTUNG! - BRICK-Gefahr (evtl. Hardbrick = Phone wegwerfen)! - Bevor die Situation nicht wieder glasklar ist, sollte man evtl. die Finger weg von (Upgrades auf/Downgrades von) MIUI 10 Oreo lassen, wenn man vorhat, wieder auf MIUI 9 downzugraden:

Update: Statement from MIUI Team
The MIUI Team released a statement on the MIUI forums. They confirmed the anti-rollback protection was for “system stability” and “security of the device.” They are urging users to not downgrade if they have already updated to MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.7.5. If you have already bricked your device by doing so, they are telling people to go to the nearest Mi service center for help. We don’t know exactly what they will do for you there, but hopefully, they can fix things free of charge.

Gilt das so echt nur für das Redmi Note 5, oder generell für ALLE Xiaomi-Geräte?

Ich habe *bis jetzt* nur den (offiziellen) Hinweis auf das Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (Pro) gefunden.

Allerdings ist die, von Google in Android 8 Oreo implementierte, Rollback Protection ja eine zentrale Funktionalität und könnte (!) in der Folge sehr wohl alle Xiaomi Devices mit MIUI 10 Oreo (evtl. auch MIUI 9 mit Oreo) betreffen.

Es ist also eine *präventive* Warnung an alle Xiaomi Phone Benutzer. - Informieren/auf dem Laufenden halten muss sich jeder (mit anderen Modellen) selbst.

(Da ich noch nichts zu einem anderen Modell gelesen habe, habe ich es auch nicht unter "Xiaomi Allgemein" eingetütet ... Wenn die Situation so bleibt, wird es reihenweise Bricks & viele Tränen geben ...)

Ihr solltet mal beachten das hier der Redmi 5 Bereich ist und nicht der Redmi 5 Note Bereich des Forums .

Für das Redmi 5 alias Rosy gibt es meines Wissen nach noch kein Miui Rom 10 auf Oreo Basis. Von daher "keep calm and carry on"

Übrigens soll laut Xiaomi das in Kürze erscheinende Update für MIUI 9.5 mit der Nummer 9.5.19.0 ebenfalls diese Rollback Protection erhalten! Wer also auf 9.5.17.0 oder früher ist, sollte evtl. das automatische System Update ausschalten...
