Die Grafiken sind auf jeden Fall der Hammer. Allein die Texturen lassen meine Augen Leuchten

Desweiteren wird das Spiel Bluetooth Multiplayer unterstützen und auf Tablets noch den Splitscreen Multiplayer.

Its been a long time since our last update, but trust me when I say there’s a good reason for this. We’ve been working very hard for the last 2-3 months on our new project and we’re finally ready to let you guys know all about it.

TANK HERO: LASER WARS

Laser wars is the follow up to the hit mobile game Tank Hero that garnered over 7 million users in 2010. If you haven’t played Tank Hero, it’s a fast paced combat/puzzle game where you battle through various arenas in a Tank. As the name suggests, Laser Wars will be all about lasers. This means that you won’t simply be seeing a rehash of the content from the original Tank Here, but there will be all new environments and gameplay mechanics to complement the new weapons and style.


MASSIVELY IMPROVED GRAPHICS ENGINE

As tech enthusiasts, we’re constantly impressed at how far we’ve come in mobile 3D graphics hardware. At the same time, we’re also constantly disappointed by how few games take advantage of this power. When we started working on Laser Wars, we made it a clear goal for ourselves to push the hardware we have today to the limit. We’ll save the gritty details for another day, but we let’s just say that we’ve done our homework when it comes to realistic lighting. Here are some screenshots to show off all the hard work we’ve put into game’s visuals. Keep in mind that these pics are from an early build of the game and is not representative of the final product.

MULTIPLAYER FINALLY!

Multiplayer was probably the most requested feature for Tank Hero. We considered adding multiplayer to Tank Hero in an update, but we felt that a feature as important as this needed to be developed from the ground up. As such, we’re bringing multiplayer to Laser Wars in a big way. For the initial release, head to head play will be supported over peer to peer bluetooth. This means that you will be able to connect directly from one device to another and play without needing to go through a LAN or the internet. Prepare to duke it out with your friends (or enemies) during that boring class at school or that long subway ride home from work. Here is a video of an early prototype of multiplayer mode:

In addition to bluetooth support, there will also be split screen head to head play for Tablet devices.

RELEASE DETAILS

The current plan is to aim for an early December release for both Android and iOS. We’re also planning to release a multiplayer beta in November for Android. We want to be clear that these are tentative dates and may change. If you would like to sign up for early beta testing, please email tankherobeta@clapfootgames.com.

Sieht wirklich top aus!

Tank hero gibts ja jetzt bereits, mit schlechterer Grafik, ansonsten siehts aus wie in den Screenshots. Nettes Ballerspiel, krankt aber wie die meisten Android Spiele daran, dass ein Teil des Bildschirms für Steuerung und Feuerknopf verwendet wird. Die dazu noch prinzipbedingt schlechter zum Steuern geeignet sind, als richtige Buttons wie beim Gameboy.
