"I saw a post in a Chinese forum saying that the Xperia S battery needs to be "activated" before reaching full capacity, and once activated it also resolves the high battery drain problem everybody is complaining.
I followed the instructions given and my battery capacity had actually changed from 1697500 to 1750000 afterward.
Whoever is adventurous enough and wanted to give it a try can follow these steps, but please do not hold me responsible for any unusual things happening to your phone if you try:
1. first check your battery capacity by dialling *#*#7378423#*#*
2. select Service Test then Battery Health Test, you will see Actual Battery (uAh) and a number, mine was 1697500 before I perform the remaining steps.
3. hold volume up button and power button simultaneously and wait for 3 consecutive vibrations from the phone. The phone should shut itself down and power off.
4. Power the phone back on. Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check the battery capacity again. It should now reporting as 1750000.
5. Charge your phone."
