WordPress 6.1 Product Walk-Through

Moderated by @greenshady, the walk-through began with a planned feature review by @matveb that included the TT3 default theme, a refined template experience, fluid typography, and locking tools, amongst other features. Following the demos, the participating release squad members @davidbaumwald, @jeffpaul, @ndiego, @richtabor, @mikachan, and @desrosj spoke about the scope of their respective team’s release work. Exploring 3 new features in WordPress 6.1 | WordPress tutorial | Gutenberg | WP 6.1

In this video, originally streamed Sept 22 and 23 2022, we look at three really interesting features that are coming to WordPress 6.1. We will be able to customize the Query Loop block using block variations, custom dynamic blocks can now leverage a render property as part of block.json to define the PHP template to handle the output, and Classic themes can now use block templates in PHP files. All of these features require installing the Gutenberg plugin version 14.1.
