Honeycomb 3.2 ROM for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 3G (GT-P7300).

Thanks to clicka from xda-developers I could find the problem with the update. Now the new version is ready for download.
Updated the ROM with small enhancements.
This update can be used only if you already have a Ganbarou GT V0.5 or V0.5a ROM installed. If not, please install first my ROM. This would be the Ganbarou GT V0.5a for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 GT-P7300.

Changelog:

• Added Recovery reboot to PowerMenu
• Browser with UAstring options in the settings menu
• 6 ROM versions available for 10.1 (P7500), 10.1N (P7501), 8.9(P7300), with original Samsung icons and with AOSP icons
• The bug with the mouse pointer not visible is fixed as well.
• The versions with the Samsung icons have now the colored icons in the settings.
• As a small add-on I included the Photo Browser coming from the Acer Icona tab. Really fast and fancy. Check the video on youtube

With the help of MikeO and dg5fdg from Android-Hilfe forum I could get my P7500 ROM working on the 8.9er tablet.
My support for this ROM will be limited, as I do not own a Galaxy Tab 8.9. But with your help I think we can solve the problems.

I guess this will be the last Ganbarou GT ROM based on Honeycomb 3.2. As everybody else I am waiting that the CM9 ROM or an IceCreamSandwich ROM from Samsung is coming.

This version of the ROM is based on the XXKL4 stock ROM released for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Italy. It will not change your kernel or recovery. You need to flash them by yourself if you want to change.

You need CWM installed to flash this ROM.

Reminder:

• Be aware that this is only for the 3G version of the SGT. I cannot test on Wifi, LTE (4G), or 10.1v versions of the tablet. I guess it will not work and you will get into problems.
• You flash this ROM on your own risk. If you damage your tablet with this ROM I take no responsibility for it.
• Start SuperUser once after 1st boot to make sure its working correct!

Habe mir noch den "Motley Kernel" installiert.
Jetzt funktioniert auch wieder "No.frills CPU Control"

nach dem ich die B version instaliert habe geht nichts mehr bei der instalation wo mann install sprache wälen kann reagiert der Bildschirm nicht mehr

Ich hatte das gleiche Problem mit der allerersten Version von dem ROM.
Mit dieser hier tritt der Fehler nicht mehr auf.

Hast den Wipe durchgeführt, evtl. liegt daran ?

jupp hab ich war ein grampf bis ich im durch das menu war und hab auch paar mal drüber geschoen aber immer wider selbe problem ! die a ging einwand frei ?!! na egal habe nun Overcome_8.9_Series_v2.2.0_P7300_Full drauf und perfect kanns echt empehlen. naja bin mal gespannt wann die c kommt werde es dann wider testen

Seltsam, habe eine aehnliche Rueckmeldung vom XDA Forum. 0.5a installiert, dann 0.5b Update mit AOSP icons, alles ok, dann 0.5b Update mit Samsung icons und Touchscreen reagiert nicht mehr.

Keine Ahnung was da passiert. Habe bestimmt 20 mal den Update waehrend des Testens auf mein P7500 gebuegelt und nie dieses Problem bekommen.

Tut mir leid das es fuer Dich nicht funktionierte, habe aber im Moment keine Loesung.

Wozu brauchts denn noch das Update auf 0.5b ???

Das 0.5b hat den Fehler mit dem Mauszeiger korrigiert, die Recovery Option im Power Menu, den Browser mit der Moeglichkeit den UAString umzustellen und den Fehler bei den Samsung Icons korrigiert wo die Icons in den Einstellungen grau waren und nicht die farbigen.

Wer all das nicht braucht sollte auf dem 0.5a bleiben.

Ich habe gerade gesehen dass du die Updates auf 0.5b rausgenommen hast.
Habe bemerkt dass ich nur die Updates auf 0.5a auf dem Rechner hatte. Dieses hatte ich übers ROM von MikeO drübergebügelt nicht das 0.5b.

Wann wird das 0.5b Update wieder veröffentlicht ?

Also ein fettes dank an beegee_tokyo traotz allem bin ich dir soooooo dankbar du bist einer der hoffnungen die ich auf dem p7300 habe denn sonnst ist ja die komuniti nur auf das p7500 gerichtet das ist voll mies ich liebe mein p7300 und bin betrübt das man und sooo vernachlässigt :-(

Fehler gefunden!
Ein sehr dummer Fehler von mir, habe vergessen den speziellen ro.sf.hwrotation=90 in die builds.prop einzubauen.
Uploads sind wieder verfuegbar, jetzt als V0.5c
