i wiped: Dalvik, Cache, System, Data and internal Storage before i flashed the rom via TWRP v2.8.5.0



from: opengapps.org ARM -> 5.1 -> pico

- Reboot in to TWRP Wiped all
- Reboot in to Download
- Flashed your twrp_2.8.6.0_i9200_9205_only.tar
- Reboot in to Recovery
- Wiped Dalvik, Cachem Data and System
- Flashed the rom
- Reboot
- Rom works, but can not install Gapps and SuperSU

In OpenGapps.org look up the 6.0 Gapps and download those, flashing a 5.1 Gapps on a newer Android version wil cause the apps to fail ( force stop ).

As for the root, I too have encountered some bugs with root as some apps were unable to detect su binary and flashing any su.zip would cause a bootloop.

Just wait for the new update and it should be fine

You talk about which ROM?
You have to first foot root your phone, then install twrp recovery, then the rom.

I'm quite new to flashing custom rom.

Do we need to root the phone first before flashing custom rom?

Coming from stock rom, is below step correct method of flashing this rom?

1. Root stock rom
2. Flash TWRP recovery
3. Full wipe
4. Flash ROM, the gapps
5. Reboot

Step 1 is not required. Phone need not be rooted to flash a custom ROM.

WhatsApp will work. Use a third party app to backup SMS.

Ich habe gerade mein Mega mit Odin und der vcoreroot-v2.tar datei gerootet - hat soweit alles geklappt,
nur jetzt bootet es nichtmehr ins system.
Bevor die Bootanimation startet, geht es aus und startet automatisch ins recovery.
Hoffentlich gibt's ne einfache Möglichkeit das wieder hinzubekommen...

I just rooted my Mega with Odin and the vcoreroot-v2.tar file - everything went good so far,
but now it won't boot into system anymore.
Before Bootanimation starts, it shuts down and boots automatically into recovery.
I really hope that there's an easy fix for this...

Don't use that file to root. Flash stock ROM again. Then follow the procedure given in my previous post.

Hi! I'm still having problems with heavy battery drain. Fully loaded the battery is totally depleted after ~ 12h without even using it! I cant find any drainers active, task manager shows only trebuchet active. How can I find out, what drains the battery? With Lollypop my Mega made ~2days with a load...
