Dass sollte man nicht machen!
Die Omega v8 läuft bei mir ohne Probleme,
obwohl ich meine Apps aus dem Player Store mit TB wiederherstelle.
Man sollte nur beachten, daß man zuerst nur die Apps und danach die Daten wiederherstellt!

Ich hatte keine System Apps mit Titanium wieder hergestellt sondern nur die Daten der Apps die ich zuvor aus den Playstore installiert hatte. Trotzdem haben sich nach einer Zeit die Apps einfach geschlossen.

Jetzt bin ich zur Alliance gewechselt und puzzle mich jetzt dort durch die Einstellungen. Vom ersten Eindruck scheint diese besser zu laufen.

Da ich eine stabile und zuverlässige Rom haben möchte mit der ich gut durch den Tag komme, war es das wohl mit der Omega für mich.

Nur zur Info : es scheint, dass Greenify das Problem war. Ich hatte das gleiche bei der Alliance und seitdem ich Greenify gelöscht habe nicht mehr. Ich werde trotzdem erst mal dabei bleiben, da diese bisher gefühlt flüssiger läuft.

Please read the following before flashing v8.1:

knox:
Omega Rom can be flashed only with a custom recovery.
This mean the knox will be triggered and your warranty will be void, more info:
All you wanted to know about KNOX Void Warranty 0×1

Wipe:
This Omega version is a No Full wipe rom, but Full wipe is strongly recommended if you have issues!
If you are coming from another custom rom or from stock firmware or from an Omega rom with previous android version, Full wipe is needed

Backup:
Make sure to make and keep in a safe place an efs backup - nadroid backup - titanium backup - etc, in case you ever need to restore!

Installation:
1. Backup your device (nadroid backup, titanium backup, efs backup ... etc) and save the backup to a safe place.
2. Flash a custom recovery
3. Boot to Recovery and flash Omega

NOTICE:
The new XXU1ANG2 firmware has a new bootloader
New bootloader XXU1ANG2 - old bootloader XXU1ANE2
The new Omega v8.1 will not boot with the stock kernel if you do not update the bootloader.
Omega Kernel is modified at the new v8.1 to work with both bootloaders.
You can download the new bootloader here and flash it with odin
FLASH THE NEW BOOTLOADER ONLY IF YOUR DEVICE IS G900F

NOTICE only for G900I users:
XXU1ANG2 firmware has changes and the nfc fix for G900I users will not work.
If you do not use NFC then you can flash Omega v8.1
and then you also need to flash G900I kernel from Omega files the one for the new bootloader.

SuperSu:
Opens SuperSu and update SU binary, then choose normal and reboot device.

Dialer contacts::
If you flashed with No Full Wipe and your contacts do not appear to phone and you are having only numbers remove your google account reboot and then add it again to fix it.

Remove bloatware:
You can remove all bloatware during Omegas installation - Screenshot with Omega de-bloated

csc:
Multi csc included in Omega
You can change csc with this application - THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA AND INTERNAL SDCARD

Tips:
* You can change Governors and I/O schedulers to Omega kernel and to any kernel with Omegas Team app CPU Adjuster -> Screenshot
*To change Battery icons use 3minit batteries app, more than a thousand battery icons included.
*For Accuwheather widget transparent go to Accuwheather widget Settings and select the Widget transparency you like

Many people have problems with this.

My Privacy Mode is 100% death i have reinstalled the rom 20× with all combinations

Nachdem ich Greenify für die sich einfach schließenden Apps ausfindig gemacht habe, bin ich wieder zurück zu Omega 8.1 mit Stock Kernel.

Meine Fragen:

-gibt es eine Möglichkeit mit dem vorhandenen Videoplayer auch mkv abzuspielen (momentan kommt bei mir die Meldung das dieses Format nicht unterstützt wird, dass Video wird dann ohne Ton angespielt). Einen anderen Player möchte ich eigentlich nicht verwenden, da ich nicht mehr Apps als nötig verwenden möchte und mit dem vorhandenen Videoplayer zufrieden bin.

-zum surfen nutze ich Firefox welcher mir aber teilweise die Videowiedergabe verweigert und nur ein Bild mit Playsymbol anzeigt. Den Flashplayer den ich früher verwendet habe lässt sich aber nicht mehr installieren da er wohl mit dem S5 inkompatibel ist. Gibt es hier vielleicht auch eine Lösung?

Wenn ton in einem Video Player nicht geht, reichts meistens in den Playersettings von Hardware auf Software decoding umzustellen.

habe gerade mein S5 geflasht.......nach der Installation von Omega 9.0 bleibt das S5 immer im Samsung Galaxy S5 Logo hängen...was mach da falsch...ist vielleicht der Download kaputt...?

Hey darkone500 hatte das gleiche problem mit der omega und bobcatrom, nun gehst du nochmals ins recovery und flasht die zip ohne wipe einfach direkt flashen, dann sollte es gehen ...

War bei mir auch der fall ... Gib bescheid Ok?!
