wer denkt sich immer diese scheiß codenamen aus? ganz im erst wie lahm kann ms sein? halbes jahr erst mit der arbeit an froyo beginnen wenn schon der nachfolger released wird. das ist ja noch schlimmer als der dumme satz mit dem ich kann erst windows kaufen wenn ein sp drausen ist.

hätte ich doch nur die 500 euro mehr investiert in das nexus. aber ohne hardware tastatur ist das nun mal nichts ganzes.

Für manche ist das Glas eben halb leer, ich find es grad mal wieder eher halb voll.

Denk ich mir auch manchmal... Doch lieber nen Nexus.. Da gibts nicht solche probleme mitm Bootloader wie ich mitbekommen hab, und von der Performance soll der auch besser sein^^ naja :/ mit 2.2 wirds MS auch ganz gut, und in 1 1/2 jahren oder so gibts dann nen neues
Und bis dahin kommen hoffentlich weiterhin neue sachen fürn stein wie zur zeit... OC, CM6

Und ein kumpel hat sich das xperia x10 mini geholt >_<

Mit Quadrant und 600 mhz cpu hat er 462 Punkte. Ich mit Cronos auf 600 mhz komm auf 863

Zumal das Xperia x10 nichmal Multitouch kann - habe mir das ja auch mal angeschaut, als ich mich dann letztendlich für den Stein entschieden hab - lag aber eher an der Kohle, weil der Stein Ende April auch schon nur noch 379 Euronen kostete (bzw. mich kostet der nichmal 300, weil T-Mobile Relax 60 Vertrag (24 x 9.95 Euro zzgl. Freischaltkosten für die Schublade).

Ich wollte erklären, warum trotz der sehr viel schwächeren Hardware des X10 Mini das Milestone "nur" doppelt soviele Punkte hat

Richtig - aber man könnte ja mal fragen, wieso es überhaupt kommen sollte, das GOT-Release. Wer mit Cronos/Cyanogen schon mal halbwegs zufrieden ist, der kriegt die paar Tage/Wochen bis zum offziellen 2.2 auch ohne GOT-Froyo rum.

Since some of you have expressed their unhappiness with us "teasing you", let us comment on this from our side:

1. It was our attempt to keep you posted and informed about what we do and where we are. We will, under no circumstance, release any of our work before it meets our own minimum quality criteria. In the event that a release fails to meet these quality requirements, we will simply go back to the drawing board and continue to improve it if we can. Some of the bugs encountered in firmware releases are bugs that, without access to the kernel, we are unable to fix. In such an event we need to continue to wait for an improved kernel update.
2. We believe and try to continue to believe it is the right approach to communicate to you on a regular basis to keep you posted rather than simply posting releases.
3. As such, we are still hanging on to our approach, but with the following amendments:
- We will no longer issue any indication of timelines. Questions such as "why is it taking so long" or "when?" will be simply ignored and no longer be commented on.
- We will no longer be able to keep you informed in detail but will just post and issue simple and general status messages.
- If we encounter bugs we can fix, we will fix such issues prior to releasing. If we encouter bugs we are not able to fix and that we classify within our group as severe, we will not issue the release.

It is somewhat disappointing to have to do down this route but apparently we cannot please the community as a whole and therefore are trying to find some middle ground.

Having said that, expect good things to come in the near future

thanks for your comments! please don't take every post here too serious, some people tend to be overwhelmed by the prospect of a coming froyo kernel out of your hands, just a bit childish sometimes ... most people here used your release of 2.1 or at least your OR version and loved it. so, from my point of view: just take your time (needless to say that, because it is your natural right), do all this amazing work on the issues that still remain and most of us here just keep the fingers crossed for you thanks for your patience with us!
