CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Instructions:

First time flashing CyanogenMod 7.2 your device, or coming from another ROM?

• Root the device and install ClockworkMod Recovery. Instructions are available here.
• Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
• Format the system, data & cache partitions of your device.
• Perform a factory reset.
• Flash CyanogenMod.
• Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 7?

• Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
• Flash CyanogenMod (your Google Apps will be backed up & restored automatically).

Issues?

Experience issues? Please provide the following info to our bug tracker:

• If the device was hard reboot, please provide the file "/proc/last_kmsg".
• If the device was soft reboot or is "bootlooping", please run a logcat and provide the full output.
• Please use Pastebin when possible.

Wenn ich Cyanogen V7.1 installiert habe,kann ich dann einfach 7.2 auf die sd karte packen und dann mit dem rom manager installieren?bleiben meine apps dann erhalten oder werden diese wieder gelöscht?

Und was sind so die größten neuerungen,gegenüber der vorherigen version?Lese da im Changelog jetzt irgendwie nichts besonderes raus?!

Also, ich habe es eben drauf gespielt.
Sieht sehr gut aus, da können sich die Hersteller mal ne Scheibe von abschneiden

Also bei mir hat er es nur als Update installiert, dementsprechend sind alle Apps und Einstellungen zum Glück noch vorhanden

Ich wollte mal fragen was ich genau machen muss wenn da steht flash cyanogenmod. Also ein backup habe ich gemacht mit dem rom manger hoffe das war richtig jetzt wollte ich fragen was ich nun machen muss Lg masterheese danke im vorraus

Komischerweise habe ich trotz installation von Gapps über das Recovery KEINE Google Apps.

Habe die neueste Buzz 7.2.0 Nightly drauf.
