Übersicht:

Team Win Recovery Project 2.6, oder kurz twrp2, ist ein Custom Recovery Build, welches einfach zu benutzen und einfach zu erweitern ist. Wir haben es auf Basis von AOSP entwickelt. Danach haben wir einige Funktionen erweitert. Es ist eine völlig per Touchscreen gesteuerte Benutzeroberfläche - keine Volumen und Power Button mehr zu Brei zerdrücken ;-). Die GUI ist voll in XML programmiert und in der Lage mit Themes angepasst zu werden. Du kannst einfach jeden Aspekt der Optik und Haptik verändern.

Note: 2.7 marks the first time that we are dropping support for older devices. We are doing this because of the SELinux support needed to install 4.4 Kit Kat ROMs. The non-TWRP parts of the recovery image have to be built in at least a 4.1 tree and the kernel that is included in the recovery image has to support writing SELinux contexts. We don't own most of the devices that we support so we depend on outside testers and developers to help us update devices. In many cases we can't find someone readily. Come to #twrp on Freenode if you want to help bring your device up to date. You can tell right away if your device will support 4.4 ROMs in 2.7. Boot TWRP and press the console button (the square-ish button either in the bottom middle or upper right) to view the console output. If it doesn't say "Full SELinux support" in the console, then your device still needs some work. Help us help you.

Hinweise zu verschlüsselten Backups:
Warum sollte Sie Ihre Backups verschlüsseln? - Die meisten Menschen speichern Backups auf dem Gerät. Da hat jeder App Berechtigung für den Zugriff auf den Speicher hat, könnte diese Ihre Backup-Dateien lesen sowie versuchen, Ihre Daten zu "ernten". Verschlüsselte Backups stellen auch eine zusätzliche Ebene der Sicherheit dar, wenn Sie Ihre Backups auf anderen Speichermedien oder in die Cloud verschieben. Die Verschlüsselung, die wir verwenden, ist wahrscheinlich nicht stark genug für Sicherheit auf Unternehmensebene. Sie ist aber stark genug um deutlich Schwierigkeiten zu machen um an Ihre Daten zu kommen.

Die Verschlüsselung erfolgt mit OpenAES. Dabei wird die 128-Bit-AES-cbc Verschlüsselung verwendet. Wenn Sie ein längeres Passwort (über 16 Zeichen) verwenden, erhöht sich die Verschlüsselungsstärke auf 192 oder 256 Bit. Vergessen Sie bitte nicht Ihr Passwort. Wenn Sie Ihr Passwort vergessen, können Sie Ihre Sicherung nicht wiederherstellen! Wir verschlüsseln nicht die gesamte Sicherung. Die Verschlüsselung ist sehr, sehr CPU-intensiv und kann ziemlich langsam sein, selbst dann, wenn die Arbeitslast auf mehrere CPU-Kerne in den neuesten High-End-Geräte verteilt wird.

Bekannte Fehler:

CWM backups sind nicht kompatibel - Bitte macht ein frisches Backup in TWRP, am besten gleich nach der Installation

Braucht man das umbedingt oder nur nice to have? Bin noch neu im Rooting/Modding.

Es fängt schon bei der Bedienung an welche viel einfacher ist und man kann zum
Beispiel jetzt den Namen des Backups bestimmen also nicht automatisch
wie vorher nach datum. Ausserdem wird nicht mehr ein zweites Verzeichnis angelegt.
Das sind nur mal 2 von den ganzen Neuerungen.

kann dem neuen Backup auch keinen Namen geben... die Tasten funktionieren nicht.

Kann nur TWRP RECOVERY echt nur weiter empfehlen nutze es schon seit 1 Jahr auf div Androiden !

Man hat im Gegensatz zu CWM nur Vorteile und mehr Funktionen !
Wie zB bessere bedienung ,Datei Explorer ,Terminal und Themes wenn noch nicht verfügbar gibt es sicher auch bald !Man kann sagen,das es ein Custom CWM Recovery ist !
