Hi there,
I have a samsung note 10.1 8010. I have not used it for a few years, found it today and found this site and the conversation about lineage and thought it could breathe new life into my old tablet. I remembered that I stopped using it because it got stuck in a boot loop but am unable to remember what led to it. I have been playing with it today to try to see if I can get it to work again. It has CWM recovery installed on it currently. It has previously been routed and had a number of different custom roms installed.
Today I have tried - flashing stock firmware from Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (WiFi) GT-N8010 Firmware - Samsung Firmware as well as stock firmware I still have on my old computer from when I used to change the OS. I have attempted this through Odin. It says completed however when the tablet reboots it just loops again.
Srangely, after attempting this CWM remains installed (if I remember correctly this would normally go after returning to stock).
I have attempted to install TWRP recovery through Odin, it appears to go through properly however when I next boot into recovery, again it still CWM.
Whilst in CWM I am UNABLE to mount: / sdcard / efs / data or / preload. What is mountable is: / cache / system & / external_sd
I. have attempted to format all the parts above except the external_sd. When I just did it on / cache the response I got was:
"E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on / dev / block / mmcblk0o8
Error formatting /cache!"
I'm not sure what this means.
I used the aromaFM through CWM to explore what is going on inside the the files. The internal SD card is there but has a chain on it which I assume means it is locked, I wonder if I did something to lock it before, thinking I was giving it security or something? I was able to create a new folder within it still.
I have attempted to install the lineage OS from this site through CWM however it aborts the attempted install.
There are not many places where this tablet is still active but I see people are still having a go on here so thought you may be able to help. Any advice welcome! Thank you.
