Wie installiert man es jetzt ? Über Fastboot soll es ja nicht gehen wegen der A/B Partition. Nun habe ich gelesen man soll es über Magisk machen. hatte ich probiert und mir alles zerschossen weil es nicht mehr booten wollte.
[doublepost=1559579517,1559578136][/doublepost]Habe es hinbekommen. Ich musste die patched-boot.img auf die Partiotion flashen auf der ich gerade bin. War bei mir in dem Fall die B Partition.

Sehr schön das dieses Thema angerissen wurde. Ich warte mit dem Kauf nur noch bis es TWRP und root gibt. TWRP ist nun verfügbar, super. Als Anleitung kann ich die vom 6T verwenden?

Und ist das Magisk universell für alle Geräte oder gibt es angepasste Versionen? Gelesen habe ich von angepassten Boot-Images die man sich selber erstellen muss?

Der Befehl Fastboot boot twrp.img funktioniert momentan nicht beim OP 7 Pro deswegen kannst du die anleAnlei vom 6T erstmal nicht nutzen.

Die installation über den Magisk Manager verlief bei mir ohne Probleme.

Boot Image Patching

This is the “cool” way to install Magisk on your device. Either your device does not have proper custom recoveries, your device is using the A/B partition scheme and you don’t want to mix recovery and boot images together, or you have other concerns (e.g. OTA Installation), you should use this method instead.


In order to use this method, you are required to obtain a copy of the stock boot image, which can be found by extracting OEM provided factory images or extracting from OTA update zips. If you are unable to obtain one yourself, someone on the Internet might share it somewhere. The following instructions will guide you through the process after you have the copy of boot image.

• Copy the boot image to your device
• Download and install the latest Magisk Manager
• Press Install → Install → Select and Patch a File, and select your stock boot image file
• Magisk Manager will install Magisk to your boot image, and store it in [Internal Storage]/Download/magisk_patched.img
• Copy the patched boot image from your device to your PC. If you can’t find it via MTP, you can pull the file with ADB:
  adb pull /sdcard/Download/magisk_patched.img
• Flash the patched boot image to your device and reboot. Here is the command if using fastboot on most devices:
  fastboot flash boot /path/to/magisk_patched.img

Ich hab Magisk mit einer bereits gepatchten boot.img installiert, mit dieser Anleitung.

1. Install Magisk Manager
2.. Reboot device to bootloader
3.. open cmd at the location of the extracted patched_boot.img
4.. In cmd type

fastboot flash boot_a patched_boot.img

5.. In cmd type

fastboot flash boot_b patched_boot.img

6.. In cmd type

fastboot reboot

7.. Open Magisk Manager, it will prompt you with additional files are needed to complete Magisk install, go ahead and download the files.
8. After a few seconds, install will be complete and you will be rooted!

Einfach als Modul über den Magisk Manager installieren!

Das es eine zip gibt wusste ich aber das man diese auch über denn MM installieren kann war mir komplett neu. Gut zu Wissen. Die ist aber für das 7pro, denke wird beim normalen 7er auch so laufen. Werde ich mal testen.

Eben getestet und funktioniert super, sehr geil und die Methode ist sogar noch super einfach. Man muss nur neu Magisk installieren sonst aber die Perfekte Lösung.

Kann mir Jemand sagen wie ich die ganze Prozedur rückgänig mache? Also:

- TWRP löschen
- Bootloader wieder locken
- Gerät auf Werkszustand

@Matze71 Würde mich auch Interessieren.
Ich liebäugle mit der Anschaffung von OnePlus, da Unlock und Root möglich ist. Als Leidgeprüfter Mate-Nutzer, will ich weg von Geräten, die einem vom Hersteller dermaßen gängeln.
Bei OnePlus scheint das problemlos zu gehen, aber wie ist es mit den Updates? Muss ich alles wieder rückgängig machen? Und wenn ja, wie?
