Alternativ für das TWRP2 Recovery gibts natürlich auch noch das ClockworkMod Recovery. Da es dazu noch keinen Thread gibt, war ich mal so frei und eröffne einen neuen.

Wie flashe ich das Recovery? o.ô

Variante 1 - per fastboot:
- zum Flashen muss natürlich der Bootloader entsperrt sein.
- Bootet in den Bootloader.
- mittels "fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.3-flo.img" bzw. "fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.3-flo.img" wird das Ganze geflasht.

OMG, was soll fastboot sein? - der kennt den Befehl gar nicht. Nicht verzagen, im Anhang gibts die entsprechenden Files. Einfach entpacken, dort das Recovery Image reinkopieren und dort eine Eingabeaufforderung (cmd.exe) öffnen.

Variante 2 - per flashable .zip
- einfach mittels des vorhandenen Custom Recoverys (wahrscheinlich TWRP2 oder CWM Recovery) die entsprechende .zip flashen (über den Menüpunkt "install .zip from sdcard" o.ä.)

habe das TWRP drauf und frage mich nun, ob es einen Sinn macht auf das CWM zu wechseln. Ich kenne natürlich das CWM von meinem alten SII her, aber bin bis jetzt auch mit dem TWRP zurecht gekommen.
Was sind da die Vor- und Nachteile bei einem Wechsel?

Wo finde ich eigentlich die Backup Dateien die man im Recovery anlegt?
Auch mit dem Rootexplorer finde ich unter /sdcard/clockworkmod nichts

Das ist nicht ganz das was ich suche. Ich möchte mir aus einem älteren Backup paar Dateien rausziehen. Ich kenne das von meinem galaxy S2 dass die Backups normaleriwese im clockworkmod Ordner abgelegt sind

Mit Titanium Backup kannst Du Dateien aus einem Backup extrahieren.

Bin auch gerade auf der Suche nach dem Backup.

Irgendwie komme ich in das Verzeichnis nicht rein und wenn ein Backup mit Obackup erstellt wurde, wird
es in der Recovery selber nicht angezeigt.

In den Settings von OBackup auch den richtigen Pfad eingestellt? Wenn ich den richtigen Pfad einstelle, zeigt mir OBackup sogar das alte Backup an, das ich direkt über die Recovery und nicht über die App erstellt hatte an.
Im Recovery selbst wird mir das alte Backup auch angezeigt.

Lohnt sich diese Recovery? Die erste CWM Touch fürs N7 II erschien mir nicht brauchbar genug und hat zudem auch geruckelt. Das liegt aber auch daran, dass ich eine ähnliche Performance erwartet habe wie von der Philz Recovery fürs Galaxy S3..

Ich nutze zur Zeit die neueste TWRP und habe keine Probleme. Zumindest auf meinem Handy mag ich eine CWM basierte Recovery doch lieber

Also bei mir hat von Anfang an nie was geruckelt. Kannst ja leicht testen und wenn du nicht zufrieden bist, flasht du halt wieder die andere Recovery. (;

@Mayday, also mit TB wird das nicht angezeigt und im Rootexplorer kommst du auch in den Pfad /data/media/clockworkmod nicht rein? Rechteproblem?
