Neues Update zum Lollipop-Status:

Motorola Lollipop updates

First of all: peace! There is so much anger floating around this topic, I just want to reassure we're working really hard on it, and, as promised, our Moto products from 2014 and 2013 will be updated to Lollipop really soon.

At this point, you may have already heard that some people are receiving 5.0.2 based OTA pushes. That's a limited soak test roll out for some of our products in different regions of the world. The update will be pushed to a wider audience if no critical showstoppers are found by users who already received it.

Users on the 1st generation Moto products need to make sure they have the latest Motorola Updates Services from the Play Store. If you don't see it showing in your list of apps available for update (or it shows as not compatible) don't worry, it'll be available for you to download it really soon.

Updates of this nature take time. It's no secret that when 5.0 launched it still had bugs. And, when we update our products, we end up finding more bugs that need to be fixed. There are a lot of reasons for what that happen, but, basically, each phone has a unique set of components and a way they interact. When Google creates a new release, they don't validate it for all the possible combinations there are, and they won't fix anything that's not reproducible on a Nexus device, that's our job.

I hope you can appreciate the time we spend rounding up the performance and making sure you can continue to enjoy the awesome smooth experience of the amazing Moto products you've come to know and love.

Schade, dass es so lange dauert. Ich hätte echt nicht gedacht, dass Motorola einer der letzten Hersteller sein wird, der das versprochene Update bringt. Selbst HTC steht ja schon mit dem M7 in den Startlöchern.

Naja, 5.0.2 ist vor 3 Wochen raus gekommen. So lang her ist das ja nun noch nicht.

Mir ist das deutlich lieber als ein 5.0.1 mit Memory Leak das mich zwingt täglich mein Moto X neu zu starten.

Ich sehe es mittlerweile auch so: Habe mir gerade das MX bestellt und ich habe keine Lust auf Updates die nur aus prinzip released werden und dann instabil laufen und etliche Probleme mit sich bringen.

So wird das vorerst geliebte Smartphone zu einem anstregenden Begleiter.

Also soll Mototrola sich Zeit lassen.

It appears Google has an internal fix for it, but nothing external that I have seen.

The original Moto X will get all features from 2nd gen that are not dependent on hardware. This excludes Best Photo feature from Camera/Gallery and a couple Moto Actions dependent on the new IR sensors)... Yes, the Moto app with new Moto Voice app will be there.

+Nishant K. Jha no one is lying when they're saying "we're working on it", but people don't accept it. The answer they want is for questions like "when the hell will I get mine", or "what the hell are you working so much at"... And those are the nice ones.
I hope this clarifies it, and calms people down little bit.
Rest assured we're doing the right thing.

+Steve Lipofsky we won't screw it up... that's why were rounding it up and making sure the experience continues to be smooth and the performance is top notch.

+Adarsh Mohanty well... looks like you didn't understand the message then... I can't provide you a timeline if I don't have the stability data of the current batch. If it's good, it could be a few days... it it still needs work, longer.

Aber mittlerweile ist es mir fast egal wann da mal ein Update auf 5. und wer weis was kommt. Nach dem ganzen Gezeter um diverse Bugs komme ich mit 4.4.4 und xposed sehr gut klar und letzteres soll ja auf 5... noch nicht gehen.

Nachdem ich gar nicht sooo tolle Sachen über 5.0 gelesen habe, werde ich sowieso bei 4.4.4 bleiben. Das läuft bei mir einwandfrei und seitdem ich das Gerät gerootet und XPosed Framework installiert habe, vermisse ich mal so gar nichts

Ich find die Lösung mit den Aktivitäten sehr stark, heißt Chrome Tabs mit als Letzte App. Und die ganzen ästhetischen Veränderungen. Hab am HTC One M7 ein bisschen mit Lollipop rumgespielt (allerdings auch CM12 mit Themes) und jetzt beim X mit Root und Xposed sieht es trotzdem immer noch ein wenig altbacken aus. Ich freu mich auf das Update!

und zwar, dass das Moto X direkt 5.1, gemeinsam mit den Nexus, bekommt

Ich hoffe das wir endlich bald das Update bekommen, dass es so wenig Infos von Motorola gibt ist schon schlecht.
Was mich an den Update am meisten reizt ist das wir auch die Sprache vom Moto X 2. Generation bekommen sollen (angeblich).

welche 2013er Phones von welchem Hersteller haben denn schon L offiziell in Deutschland ausgerollt bekommen ? Dachte bisher das Gegengteil von dem was du sagst.
