NVIDIA haut mit dem 21. Feature-Update mal wieder einen bunten Strauß Verbesserungen raus!

Wie vorab bekannt bringt das Update den Google Assistant mit. Sonstige prominente Änderungen:

- Sicherheitspatchlevel Nov. 2018
- Linux Kernel Update von 3.1 auf 4.9
- SMBv3 Support für Verbindungen zum NAS

Der Support ist einfach der Wahnsinn. Und das soll auch 2019 so weiter gehen.

Die beste Neuerung ist für mich, dass der Launcher nun frei wählbar ist. Den Google Assistenten brauche ich nicht. Die Fernbedienung der 2015er Box hat auch ein Update auf Version v1.32 erfahren.

Such Dir einen aus im Android TV Playstore. Ich verwende einen umgeschriebenen Fork des ehemaligen Fire Starter (jetzt Shield Starter).

Es hängt davon ab, was man machen will und welche Geräte zur Steuerung zum Einsatz kommen.

Offenbar ist das Update mit der heißen Nadel gestrickt worden. NVIDIA sucht derzeit Tester für Bugfix 7.2.2.

Btw: Es gab anscheinend vorab keinen Beta-Test für 7.2!
Eher ungewohnt bei einem Update dieser Größenordung, zumal so kurz vor den Feiertagen. (Holiday-Season)

With the holidays here, we're not able to get an official release out that fixes more of the known issues in 7.2.1 until after the holidays.

We are still working on root causing/fixing the issues, but wanted to do 2 things over the holidays.

1. Find some users to help us test fixes for various issues as we have them ready for testing.
2. Let users who want early access to some of our fixes get a test build to hold them over.

Hallo zusammen,
habe nun heute das Update auf 7.2.2 gemacht. Allerdings habe ich nun das Problem, dass ich von der Shield nicht mehr per Netzwerk auf meinen PC zugreifen kann.
Login/PW seien falsch. Allerdings hat sich dazu nichts geändert von Seiten PC.
Ich komme problemlos vom PC auf die Shield.

Was ich bisher probiert habe:
1. Netzwerkfreigabe auf PC neu eingerichtet
2. Homegroup samt Passwort überprüft, geändert
3. NetBIOS over TCP/IP aktiviert
4. SMB1 aktiviert (wobei ich nicht sicher bin, ob es aus war)

Bin im Moment ein wenig ratlos. Vll habt Ihr ja weitere Ideen/Möglichkeiten, die ich testen kann.

Hast du zufällig Win7 auf deinem PC und gerade die neuesten Updates installiert, könnte es evtl. mit dem KB4480970 zusammen hängen.

ja bin auf Win7. Habe das Update vor kurzem erhalten. Es hat tatsächlich geholfen beide Updates KB4480970 (Monthly Rollup) und KB4480960 (Security only) zu deinstallieren. Nun funktioniert der Zugriff mit der Shield wieder.

Seit dem 7.2.2 Update habe ich HDMI CEC Probleme. Bisher hat sich mein Shield TV umgeschalten, sobald ich auf den HDMI Eingang gewechselt habe. Das funktioniert jetzt nur noch ab und zu. Ich muss jetzt auch sehr oft zeurst auf dem Shield Controller ein Knopf drücken, bis ich die TV Fernbedienung wieder verwenden kann. Das hatte bisher IMMER problemlos funktioniert. Kann jemand das Verhalten bestätigen?

Hoffentlich ist mit der neuen Version das Bild der Videos in nativen Mediatheken-Apps wieder besser.

Schaut doch mal in die 3sat Mediathek. Allein schon das Senderlogo oben links sieht verpixelt aus und das restliche Bild ist auch nicht viel besser.

Unter Kodi ist das Bild in Ordnung.

Bei den Mediatheken-Apps der SAT.1/ProSieben Gruppe läuft das Bild trotz 50 Hz nicht flüssig und hakt hier und da. Unter 59,94 Hz wird es besser, dürfte aber nicht so sein. Eher umgekehrt.

Das offizielle "SHIELD Preview Program" wurde übrigens bereits Ende Nov./18 eingestampft.

Unfortunately, due to leaks during our latest preview (7.1), we no longer are able to continue the program.
Instead, for Software Upgrade 7.2, we are forming a smaller, private preview with better tracking of member involvement to ensure confidentiality.

Hatte mich nur gewundert das keine Beta-Updates mehr rein kamen...

Habt ihr auch das Problem, wenn man das Optionsmenu öffnet, es nach 30 Sekunden kaum noch zu lesen ist, da die Schrift und der Hintergrund zu einer Farbe verschmelzen? Als wenn das Neuzeichnen nicht so richtig funktioniert...
