Ein neues Update ist ab sofort verfügbar: Shield Experience 9.1

Ja das kenne ich, in der Zeit kann man auch schöne andere Dinge machen. Zum Glück läuft meine Konstellation jetzt rund. Trotzdem finde ich es merkwürdig, da du ähnlich aufgestellt bist, kann mir nur schwer vorstellen, das es was mit dem Toslink Kabel und dem ältere Reciever zu tun hat. Aber ausschließen kann ich es auch nicht, da immer mehr in Richtung eARC und HDMI entwickelt wird.

Mittlerweile ist NV bei Hotfix #4 angekommen, Sicherheitspatchlevel immer noch April und auch sonst wenig Spannendes.

Second HotFix (33.2.0.149 deployed on 9/21/2022):

• Fixes bug where region specific apps could not be end user disabled/enabled
• Fix for "Select a home app" show up after 9.1 upgrade
• Fixes bug where region specific apps would not be visible after disabling
• Disables anonymous access to smb server by default and adds developer option to allow anonymous access
• “Enable Dolby Vision” notification will be suppressed after dismissing
• Resolves issue where SHIELD would be unresponsive to BT devices up to 60 seconds after startup
• Adds developer option to force Low Latency Dolby Vision if available
• Resolves FFWD RWD crashing Plex Playback

Third HotFix (33.2.0.153 deployed on10/7/2022):

• Fixes issue where Automatic Game Mode would be enabled on NVIDIA Games even when disabled
• Fixes bug where protected content would not play if external storage is connected on 2015 SHIELDs (Previously resolved on 2017 and 2019 SHIELDs)
• Resolves issue where Control4 would not wake up SHIELD if systems is turned off while Screensaver is active

Fourth HotFix (33.2.0.157 deployed 10/20/2022) :

• Adds developer option (CEC: Clean up preferred playback logical address) to work around a CEC volume control issue with some Samsung soundbars.

Endlich mal wieder eine Final statt Hotfix, NVIDA rollt Release 9.1.1 aus. Für Hotfix #4 User gibt es nichts Neues, weil gleicher Build.

Today we released SHIELD Experience Upgrade v9.1.1 (33.2.0.157) for all SHIELD and SHIELD Pro units. This update is based on SHIELD Experience Upgrade 9.1 and includes the following fixes and enhancements;

Enhancements

• Adds power control option to wake SHIELD when TV input changes to SHIELD
• Adds developer option to force Dolby Vision Low Latency if available. Enable if Dolby Vision not properly detected on some Philips OLED TVs
• Adds developer option to improve HDMI-CEC volume control for AVR/Soundbars (“Clean up preferred playback logical address”)
• General cleanup and re-organization of developer options

Bei mir kam auch noch nichts mit Version 9.2 an, 9.1.1 (33.2.0.157) ist die installierte Version mit Sicherheitspatch 5. April 2022, ist also schon ziemlich alt.

Ich nutze die Nvidia Shield TV 2019. Die hat dieses Röhren Design.

Nur zur Info, für alle, die hier fragen, warum sie noch kein Update bekommen haben. Es ist ein Hofix Image und um das zu bekommen, muss man sich extrabei Nvidia registrieren. Das ist so in etwa, wie eine Betaversion und hat auch Nachteile (DRM), siehe Link von @meik0N.
In der Vergangeheit wurde meist einen Monat nach dem Hotfix das entsprechende offizielle Update veröffentlicht.

Update auf 9.1.2 wohl kurz vor Release. Hatte nach dem 9.1.1+ Hotfix eher mit einer 9.2.0 gerechnet. Aber egal...
Man kann ja froh sein, das überhaupt noch was kommt.

Ich bin auch etwas verwirrt, da das 9.1.1+ Hotfix auf der Shield TV ja bereits als 9.2.0 angezeigt wird.
Auf der anderen Seite läuft das Gerät bei mir störungsfrei und außer der neuen Versionsnummer werde ich warscheinlich keinerlei Änderungen feststellen.

Na ja Auro 3D ist ja schön und gut, aber dass die Nvidia Shield bis heute noch nicht mal in der Lage ist 3D Filme wieder zugeben, das ist ja schon eher lächerlich und ein ziemliches Armutszeugnis. Da sollten diese Entwickler mal daraun arbeiten, denn es gibt auch viele Filme die in 3D hergestellt wurden und so was sollte eine so umfangreiche Streaming Box echt auch beherrschen können.

Wenn du "gab" geschrieben hättest, würde ich zustimmen. Da es aber kaum noch neue TV-Geräte gibt, die 3D unterstützen, gibt es auch kaum noch neue 3D-Filme. Ohne passendes Ausgabegerät ist 3D auf der Shield m.E. irrelevant.
3D ist und war ein Nischenprodukt.

Die 3D Wiedergabe ist nicht irrelevant, denn viele haben auch 3D Beamer oder ihre 3D Blu-ray landen für den Heimgebrauch auf einen Plex Server. Jeder neue AV Receiver und Blu-ray Player spielt das 3D Format ab, die beste Streaming Box sollte das selbstverständlich ebenfalls können.

halte ich für ein Gerücht, zumindest steht z.B. bei Denon nichts davon in der Beschreibung (gerade bei Geizhals nachgeschaut)
Davon abgesehen haben m.W. alle großen TV-Geräte-Hersteller die 3D-Unterstützung eingestellt. Und spätestens wenn du was Neues brauchst, nutzt dir die 3D-Unterstützung in der Shield gar nichts mehr.
Wenn ich mir meinen Gerätepark so anschaue, können lediglich mein TV im Schlafzimmer und der SAT-receiver dor 3D.
Der 4K-BluRay-Player, der AV und der TV im WZ unterstützen kein 3D, bei der PD5 weiß ich es nicht.

Für DICH mag 3D wichtig/interessant sein, für die große Mehrheit eher nicht.
