Hi guys,

This is the SpeedMod kernel for Android ICS for the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100.

This kernel only works with Samsung ICS based ROMs.

SpeedMod's core features are:
- Super stable: No undervolting, overclocking or potentially unstable modifications
- Fast and smooth: Compiler and code optimizations
- Excellent battery life: Remove unecessary logging and debugging

This is an early release with basic functionality only. No CWM yet.

Current features:

Root:
- Automatically installs root (su)

Screen and misc tweaks:
- init.d, TUN, CIFS, IPV6 Privacy support

Performance:
- CPU governor tweaks: increase responsiveness
- IO tweaks
- Read ahead tweaks
- Compiled with optimizations using Linaro GCC toolchain
- Switched to SLAB instead of SLUB

Turned off unnecessary logging for better smoothness and efficiency:
- Disabled Android Debug Logger / logcat
- Disabled Samsung debug
- Disabled various kernel debugging, statistics and tracing options

- Minor tweaks to ondemand governor

- Changed some compiler settings to fix boot hangs

K3-21: - Updated mach-exynos cpufreq code from GT-N7000 sources - Updated root: Superuser.apk and su binary to latest versions

- Delayed min_free_kbytes adjustment a bit to prevent hanging at boot
- Enabled utf-8 support for CIFS

K3-19:
- Patched Wifi driver with "bcmdhd: Fix FW hang recovery"


K3-18:
- Slight change to min_free_kbytes to fix the problem of sometimes hanging at boot

K3-17:
- Reverted some compiler flags to fix the problem of sometimes hanging at boot logo

K3-16:
- Tweaks to touchscreen sensitivity
- Compiler flags updated
- min_free_kbytes increased to fix wifi toggling problem

K3-15:
- Tweaks to touchscreen sensitivity:
- - Movfilter for battery set to GB kernel values

K3-7:
- Minor update to IO tweaks
- MDNIE tuning for more natural color and sharpness
- GPU DVFS adjustments

K3-5:
- Minor update to IO read_ahead tweaks

K3-3:
- ARM CPU topology patch from Linaro
- SCHED_MC multi-core aware scheduler patch from Linaro
- Changed to DVFS based CPU hotplug policy

K3-2:
- Added CWM5
- Increased USB charging speed to same speed as AC charge
- max17042: Fix fuel alert wakelocks
- Touchscreen MOVHYST ("Vitalij fix") set to 10

So,ich habe nun mal den SpeedMod Kernel auf meine Omega Stock v.7+ICS Domniation 4.1 Theme geflasht. Bin mal gespannt wie sich dieser Kernel so verhält.
Es gibt übrigens schon die K3-2 Version!

Gibts schon erstes zu berichten? Läuft flüssiger als CF-Root XXLP7, ruckelt oder gibt es dinge die nicht funktionieren etc ?

Der Speedmod unterstützt keine alternativen Bootanimationen...

Die K3-9 läuft wunderbar mit der LPS. Kein Ruckler, keine Ausfälle, nichts.

Hab den k3-9 auch mal drauf, bin gespannt. Die sich täglich wechselnden siyah waren schon unter GB zeiten nicht meins.

Ja, die K3-9 läuft außerordentlich gut.

Momentan sind ja die "Mode"-Kernel wie siyah oder neak sehr im Rennen, und SpeedMod wird etwas unbeachtet gelassen, weil da nicht so viel Geschrei drumherum ist.

Ich meine, ihr solltet Euch den mal draufziehen. Ich bin sehr erstaunt über die "Laufeigenschaften" dieses Kernels und überzeugt, ihr werdet ebenfalls positiv überrascht sein.
