das ist ein experimenteller Kernel (in der opensource-Welt bedeutet EXPERIMENTAL, dass es eure Katze zum Frühstück verspeist, einen termonuklearen Krieg bzw. Beziehungskrieg zwischen euch und eurer Liebsten, Datenverlust, ein Delirium und andere Dinge auslösen kann)

jetzt hat es einen im Forum beim Testen erwischt und es ist wohl zu Datenverlust gekommen [ich vermute mal wegen den Veränderungen im autogroup scheduler, diesen lasse ich jetzt in Zukunft weg: BFS + autogroup sind für 2.6.35 ohnehin nicht voll funktionsfähig bzw. haben mir zu oft zu Probleme geführt]

wartet bitte ab, bis die gröbsten Fehler (es sind einige neue Patches dazu gekommen) behoben sind,

ich teste die Kernel zwar, bin hier jedoch im Urlaub (mangels 3G+Daten, WIFI, etc.) ziemlich eingeschränkt

NEO_10 wäre also bis auf Weiteres eher zu empfehlen

this kernel is for you and all the others that need logcat + printk:

it's a slightly improved NEO_10 kernel

with

- logcat+ printk enabled
- a scheduler fix
- swaptoken patch from CK (we don't have swap right now - so probably no effect)
- updated background aging patch for no-swap systems
- enabled network congestion (QoS) stuff
- correctly set vfp

- default scheduler is conservative + conservative

Hi zach, i got a new symptom with test 02 and 3 kernel !

I lose data after sometime (while browsing), and reswitching to neo 10 don't cure.. had to format/restore system.

attached you'll find the pre-final NEO_11 kernel

this has autogroup removed (newly created NEO_11 branch on top of teamhacksung repo)


this kernel should be ready for mass testing


since I right now need the cpu capacity of the system (updating my system to fix the instability) - repo hasn't been synced and re-compiled yet

initramfs still based on 7.1.0 RC1 and #nightly 40 (afaik there also weren't any changes in the prebuilt kernel so far)

In der pre-final Version nicht, im finalen NEO11 ist OC/UV wieder enthalten und es gibt auch eine Version mit BLN.

das Problem ist nur, dass ich momentan keine Kernel kompilieren kann (1400 Pakete in der Warteschlange für mein System - da bin ich garantiert noch bis morgen dran; alles wird kompiliert),

erst dann gibt es (falls nix dazwischenkommt) einen neuen Kernel

Ich komme eh nicht vor morgen Abend dran, und falls du es bis dahin nicht schaffst bleibt halt neo 10 drin und das "Volk" muss selbst entscheiden ob es neo 11 flashen will. Also kein Stress wegen mir.

P.s. in meinen ROM ist und wird immer ein zach Kernel sein. War von Anfang an begeistert von dem was du leistest. Daumen hoch...

habe jetzt gesehen das es zwei Kernel gibt. NEO11 und den VZ v4. Sind das unterschiedliche Projekte? Wird an beiden gleichzeitig gearbeitet?

jupp, das kam leider in der Vergangenheit schon öfter vor - scheint eine Eigenheit von CM7/AOSP/Android zu sein, dass man evtl. den Akku rausnehmen oder per reset (Powertaste 10 Sekunden drücken) neu starten muss

das ist momentan (noch) das gleiche, das wird es vorerst wohl auch bleiben,

VZ v4 ist ein "gemoddeter" bzw. verbesserter NEO_11 (im Moment beschränkt sich dies auf die Option android-logger/logcat per cwm recovery ein- und auszuschalten, easyinstall von GalnetMIUI und evtl. noch ein paar andere)

ich hab heute doch ein wenig Zeit gehabt und ein Update meines Roms geschnürt Was schätzt du denn bis wann dein (bzw. Vorbeth) neuer Kernel fertig ist, dann würde ich mit dem Release nämlich noch warten und den dort mit rein nehmen...

ich war die ganze Zeit heute in der Stadt einkaufen


momentan schau ich gerade, ob ich die Unterstützung für das Headset wieder zum Laufen bekomme (für das SGS)

es ging früher, ist aber im Laufe der Unterstützung der anderen Geräte (Captivate, Vibrant, Fascinate) kaputt gegangen und nur schwierig mit allen in Einklang zu bringen,

evtl. gibt es ja etwas einfacheres, weniger Elegantes damit es wieder geht ...
