Guten Morgen! Also CM7_SGS_platypus-kernel_20110521_r0_quorra-pre11_test3.zip hat bei mir wieder einen höheren Akkuverbrauch als CM7_SGS_platypus-kernel_20110520_r0_test2.zip

Mein Akkuverbauch lag heute Nacht bei 2,8%/h im Standby und bei 0,8% im Flugzeugmodus. Alles wie immer mit dem gleichen Akku getestet und über mehrere Stunden. (Nightly Build 9 - [Build 10 bringt mir nix])

Hatte heute über Nacht mit dem pre11 test3 kernel (kein UV, conservative, noop) einen Akkuverbrauch im Standby von etwa 4%/h, was ich doch recht hoch finde.
WLAN war dabei dauerhaft an, da ich bei den Samsung ROMs und dessen Customs mit WLAN immer an immer weniger Verbrauch hatte als im HSDPA-Netz. Ist das bei CM7 vielleicht anders?
Hab außerdem die neueste full-10 und das XXJVO Modem drauf (vielleicht liegts auch am Modem ?!)

Die guten Akku Ergebnisse hattest du mit Full7 oder?
Bei mir mit Stock Kernel ist es genauso mit Full7 sehr gute Batterywerte mit Full9 wieder schlechter.Vielleicht liegt es daran?
Könntest ja den neuen Kernel mal mit dem alten Full7 antesten. Ich schau jetzt mal auf Full 10 das akkuverhalten mit Stock Kernel.
Achso habe auch den Stock Kernel auf conservativ.

Danke andidroid! Das ist wirklich eine wichtige Info von dir!
Es ist echt schwierig klare Aussagen zu treffen bei den vielen Updates momentan. Ich bin jetzt auf full9. Ich versuche gerade ein Skript zu basteln welches mir nach jedem Update alle mein Apps und Einstellungen wieder herstellt. Dann ist es auch leichter zwischen den Nightlys zu switchen um diverse Konstellationen zu testen ...

Edit: das script ist fertig. Ich werde es noch erweitern wenn ich zeit habe. Es funktioniert mal so weit und ist sehr praktisch wenn man immer die neuesten nightlys und kernel haben möchte ...

Ich probiers nochmal. Mal lieber nicht flashen.

Edit: Keine Chance, meine SIM-Card wird nicht aktiviert. Ich hab sie entfernt, neu gecleant, kernel und modem neu geflasht, gebootet, ausgeschalten, SIM rein, gebootet und wieder nix ... leider.

- correct issue with not properly set modemctl (phone_crespo on cappy + sgs; phone_aries on vibrant)

is compatbile until Nightly #11 for Galaxysmtd

(Nightly #12 won't work due to RIL changes still needing to be integrated)



sticking points to test & feedback:

- call drops, reboots during calling & potential instabilities
- BT & WIFI switching: confirmed to work, tested by myself & worked (file transfers), need testing - less battery usage now ?
- iptables confirmed to work
- usb tethering confirmed to work
- battery runtime
- 1:1 battery charging values from GB source now (thanks runedrune !) better charging with higher environmental temperatures confirmed
- sound playback while screen is off

Dann hab ich noch mal das kernel-cleaning-script ausgeführt und nochmal geflasht jetz funktioniert alles!

Kernel Scripts (Update):


- for switching to other governor (while screen is on - screen off = conservative) apply additional "screenstate_scaling switcher" script

description of governors:
- conservative [probably most battery efficient]
- interactive [pretty smooth operation - perhaps some hickups from time to time; phone gets quite warm with it; prefers higher over lower frequencies]
- interactiveX [same like interactive but with sleep & wake support - better suited for usage as only governor (testing)]
- ondemand [ondemand governor - compromise between speed & battery efficiency, very fast switching through all frequencies - in a perfect world the best]
- smartass [further evolution of interactive governor keeps the frequency at 600 MHz while idle (screen on) to ensure smoothest operation (need feedback, stability, etc.)]
- SavagedZen [further evolution of smartass governor (?) runs pretty laggy at the moment - needs significantly more tweaking (testing))]


How things work:

100-400 MHz while screen is off + almost old behavior conservative governor - potentially less stuttering with sound playback (if that doesn't help the app is broken or something else to blame) & less battery drain with misbehaving apps in standby (e.g. Google Maps & Latitude)

100-1000 MHz while screen is on (needs to be edited for OC at line 64) + smartass and the governor of your choice

Heute nacht hab ich es auch mal mit aktivierem wlan im standby gelassen. Akkuverbrauch über 4% in der stunde ...

Edit: wie der standby-verbrauch ohne wlan aussieht muss ich erst überprüfen. Aber irgendwie läuft es nicht mehr so flüssig wie vorher mit den selben einstellungen. Beim umschalten zwischen tasks und menüs ruckelts ganz schön ... (conservative, sheduler spielt da keine rolle)

Edit 2: es liegt am neuen screen-scaling-script. hab test3 mit dem neuen script getestet dann lagt es auch. Mit dem alten script läuft es wieder flüssig.

Also ich hab heute nacht noch den r11.test4_r2 draufgemacht und hatte das selbe Problem wie von sunra beschrieben mit der SIM-Karte... das entsperr menü will einfach nicht aufgehen... -> back to r10!

Edith: Beim r10 wird mir nun zwar das SIM-Symbol angezeigt, aber das Fenster geht trotzdem nicht auf!

könntest du dann bitte auch vom Akkuverbrauch mit den alten Skripten berichten über die nächsten Tage ?

ich versuche gerade einzukreisen, ob der höherere Idle bzw. Standby-Verbrauch nur durch die Skripte oder auch aktuelle Änderungen im Kernel (unwahrscheinlich) hervorgerufen wird


also eigentlich sollte es nicht laggen, da ja nur ein governor-Teil (wenn der Schirm aus ist) modifiziert wurde

Ich hab heute mein SGS nochmal komplett neu aufgesetzt (JPU etc. pp) und mir wird trotzdem immer noch nur das SIM-Karten-Symbol angezeigt ohne dass das entsperren Fenster aufgeht...

gibts da ne Möglichkeit die SIM manuell zu entsperren?

das scheint seit neustem irgendwie ein generelles Problem mit CM7 und/oder custom kerneln zu sein (Tk-Glitch & Glitch-Kernel hat das auch auf Vibrant oder Cappy)


versuch mal:

1) SIM-Karte raus

2) Modem erneut flashen, wipe /cache & dalvik cache

neustarten

3) Handy aus (von Android aus)

4) SIM-Karte rein & einschalten
