3G/HSPA Verbindung unterbrochen/beendet, wenn das Telefon länger ungenutzt ist

Hello G615 Users,


Ich bin Rafael aus Ungarn. Kein deutsch, nur english.

I could not resist and bought 2x Huawei Ascend G615 phones recently from Germany.

Got an unlimited data-plan (3G/HSPA) and I wish to stay connected 24h/day being able to receive mail and other IM notifications via the G615 just in time.

The problem is, once the screen is locked and dimmed for a while (the phone is not in use for a couple few [10+] minutes) looks like the G615 cut + stop the 3G/HSPA (also WLAN) connection. I assume this happen automatically when the phone step into kind of power saving mode to reduce the radio signal activity hence extend the battery life by one magnitude.

During this time I do not receive any notification, obviously. Once I unlock the screen I do see the HSPA indicator bar change from grey to blue and the phone get connected to HSPA network yet again (got a new IP address), notifications start coming.

Looks the same happen when I connect via WiFi to my home network. I tried set the "WiFi -> Special -> SleepMode" to "Never" aswell, however looks like this has not much effect on the issue.

The Energy Settings seems has no effect on the issue either, I already tried the most energy saving and the full performance modes.

My other devices work as "usual", only the Ascend G615 is affected, It is definitely not local operator fault (Vodafone). The connection works fine using other devices (Option GlobeSurfer II, Sony Xperia S).

Can any fellow G615 user check this and confirm to me please? Is this a bug or feature? Is there any workaround to keep the 3G/HSPA connection active all the time? I would highly appreciate any hint on the subject.

same with my device. Provider is Telekom. Seems not to be an issue of our providers but a general one.

@Bommek, Danke sehr für die schnelle antwort und bestätigung.

@Alle anderen Benutzer: Melden Sie dies bitte Huawei Support Germany so schnell wie möglich. Meiner Meinung nack is das ist eine hohe Priorität, das Telefon fast nutzlos für die Kommunikation zu machen.

(Das ist eine maschinelle Übersetzung von Englisch nach Deutsch Sprache. Ich denke, es wird lustig.)

Das wäre natürlich ein Riesenbug, wenn im Lock-Modus die 3G/ WiFi-Verbindung deaktiviert würde.
Dann würde man ja gar keine Mails mehr bekommen können.

Können das andere Besitzer auch bestätigen?

Da ich demnächst auch vorhabe, mir das G615 zuzulegen, wäre dieser Bug ein KO-Kriterium für mich.

Wundert mich ehrlich gesagt etwas, dass dieses nicht schon früher jemandem aufgefallen ist, wenn es denn ein Softwarefehler ist.

Also ich habe das Smartphone gestern bekommen und bin bis jetzt echt zufrieden. Zu dem Problem:

Habe heute morgen um 5:56 Uhr eine WhatsApp Nachricht bekommen. Es muss also eine Datenverbindung aktiv gewesen sein. Das Handy wurde seit gestern Abend nicht mehr benutzt.

Ich habe noch einen interessanten Punkt bei den "Mobilfunknetzen" gefunden. Ich weiß nicht ob es vielleicht daran liegt: "Permanente Datenverbindung" Siehe Anhang

Dieser Wert ist im Auslieferungszustand deaktiviert.

Also doch nur ein ungarischer Userfehler? Kann mir auch nicht vorstellen, dass das G615 solch einen Riesenbug hätte...

Ich habe den Haken bei permanenter Datenverbindung nun auch mal gesetzt. Mal gucken, wie sich das auswirkt.

Ob es auch positive Auswirkungen auf den Wifi - Empfang hat, bleibt ebenso abzuwarten.

You can change the WLAN standby settings by pressing the Menu button within the WLAN settings and open the advanced settings.

[DE] Nur eine kurze Hinweis auf mein Kommentar: Huawei Technik Team Deutschland hat mir eine Antwort schickte zu erklären Schritt-für-Schritt die Einstellungen, die ich anzuwenden hat, um der Anschluss permanent. Cool service!
