Warum findet mein Telefon kein Update?
Das Update wird in der Regel erst nach 21h freigeschaltet.

Warum dauert das Update so lange?
Das Pixel hat zwei Partitionen, das Betriebssystem ist quasi doppelt im Speicher.
Wenn ein Update kommt, wird es auf die nicht verwendete Version aufgespielt.
Anschließend werden Apps/Einstellungen von der aktiven Version mit der bislang nicht verwendeten abgeglichen.
Schließlich wird der Cache aller Apps zurückgesetzt (Optimierung).
Wenn das alles erledigt ist, wird man zum Neustart aufgefordert.
Dabei wird dann auf die bislang nicht verwendete Version mit erfolgtem Update umgeschaltet.

Damit man das Telefon währenddessen weiter nutzen kann, passiert das alles im Hintergrund mit niedriger Priorität.
Deshalb dauert es, und deshalb ist es egal, ob das Update nur ein kB oder mehrere MB groß ist.
Denn nicht die Änderung dauert, sondern das danach.

Der Vorteil ist, läuft beim Update etwas schief, kann auf die Version vor dem Update umgeschaltet werden.

Tipp: Wenn ein Update kommt, Abends ans Netzteil, Update starten und am nächsten Morgen neu starten.

Warum ist der Google Play Sicherheitsstand nicht aktuell?
Das Google-Play-Systemupdate ist unabhängig vom monatlichen Pixel-Sicherheitsupdate.
Es ist also durchaus normal, wenn der Google Play Sicherheitsstand älter ist!

• Fix for issue occasionally preventing call audio to transfer between phone and paired devices

• General improvements for charging, battery usage or thermal performance in certain conditions
• Improvements for battery usage while using the front camera in certain apps or conditions *[2]

• General improvements for Bluetooth stability and performance in certain conditions

• Fix for issue causing display brightness level to adjust when switching between user profiles

@nydevil Eigentlich sollte man das über die Einstellung "Hintergrund & Stil" im Pixel Launcher machen können, siehe hier unter " Express yourself with wallpapers that wow ": Hands-free photos, SpO2 and more for the Pixel family

Bei mir taucht aber nach dem Update weder dieses kleine Symbol auf, um so ein Cinematic Wallpaper zu nutzen, noch wird mir die Option angezeigt, ein Emoji Wallpaper zu erstellen... Geht es dir genau so?

Ist doch vorhanden. Geht aber nur bei eigenen Bildern, nicht bei welchen aus der regulären Wallpapersammlung.

Es handelt sich wohl um eine Änderung, die dann doch serverseitig von Google aktiviert werden muss.


Auf Twitter finden sich mehrere Berichte von Besitzern verschiedener Pixel-Geräte wieder, dass dort diese Features fehlen. Ich selbst hatte auch Kontakt mit dem Google Support. Dort hat man mir geraten, mein Pixel auf Werkseinstellungen zurück zu setzen. Das habe ich abgelehnt.
Es weiß also mal wieder die eine Hand nicht, was die andere gerade macht.

Mir ist das auch gänzlich unbekannt, dass Features, die im Rahmen eines Feature-Drops angekündigt wurden, nach der Installation des Updates erst serverseitig freigeschaltet werden müssen.

Hier lief alles sauber durch

Höchst erfreulich und vollkommen unerwartet:
Die Icons in den Ordnern haben jetzt wieder die normale Größe. Ich hatte mich zwar mittlerweile an diese Mini-Icons gewöhnt, trotzdem sah das im Grunde vollkommen Sch... aus

Bei mir ist gerade diese App als Update im Play Store aufgetaucht.

Getestet hab ich noch nicht, aber das könnten die Live-Hintergründe und Co sein.

@Nefau Ist nur Emoji Wallpaper. Taucht nach Neustart danach auf. Bei mir immer noch kein Cinematic Wallpaper.

Kannst es doch, wie oben erwähnt, weiternutzen. Ich habe da eigentlich keine Probleme damit. Abends streame ich meistens nur Spotify auf meine Partybox und das bekommt das Phone hin (wäre ja schlimm wenn nicht) .

welche Aktion war denn?
hab von dem Update nix mitbekommen, phone war normal nutzbar.
Schaue mir aber auch keine Updatebalken an, aufgrund Zeitmangel.

Das wird dich bald mit jedem aktuellen Android Phone erwarten, da Google die Update-Methode zur Pflicht macht / machen will.

Handelt es sich um das Update, dann kann ich Deinen Beitrag nicht nachvollziehen. Während dieser Zeit ist das Phone weiterhin nutzbar.
