Auch das Pixel 4 und Pixel 4 XL wird wieder garantierter Update-Support bekommen - Laut Google bis Oktober 2022.

We’ve been working on an option for users to require their eyes to be open to unlock the phone, which will be delivered in a software update in the coming months. In the meantime, if any Pixel 4 users are concerned that someone may take their phone and try to unlock it while their eyes are closed, they can activate a security feature that requires a pin, pattern or password for the next unlock. Pixel 4 face unlock meets the security requirements as a strong biometric, and can be used for payments and app authentication, including banking apps. It is resilient against invalid unlock attempts via other means, like with masks.

We designed Smooth Display so that users could enjoy the benefits of 90Hz for improved UI interactions and content consumption, while also preserving battery when higher refresh rates are not critical by lowering back down to 60Hz.
In some conditions or situations, however, we set the refresh rate to 60Hz. Some of these situations include: when the user turns on battery saver, certain content such as video (as it’s largely shot at 24 or 30fps), and even various brightness or ambient conditions. We constantly assess whether these parameters lead to the best overall user experience. We have previously planned updates that we’ll roll out in the coming weeks that include enabling 90hz in more brightness conditions.

As we noted earlier this year, “flame” is the smaller Pixel 4’s codename, while “coral” belongs to the Pixel 4 XL.

Hat schon jemand das C4 Update OTA erhalten? Bei mir ist der aktuelle Stand noch ohne C4 Kürzel im Build-Namen.

Update: habs eben per Sideload installiert

Jetzt ja. Die Buildnummer hat nun das C4 am Ende.

Und was bringt mir das C4 Build?

Der alphanumerische Code am Ende fängt mit A1 an und kennzeichnet einen Hotfix. In unserem Fall für Pixel 4 und 4XL eben den Hotfix in der Version C4. Was da genau geändert / behoben ist finde ich auch adhoc nicht. Der nächste Novemberpatch kommt ja bald, da ist der Hotfix dann auch schon drin.

Heute am 4.11. sollte ja wieder gegen Abend ein Update für November anstehen.
Ich hoffe dann mal sehr auf Korrekturen zur Display-Farbdarstellung beim kleinen Pixel und eventuell zur Kamera.

Gibt es Vergleichsbilder vom P4 und P4XL, welche das Kalibrierungsproblem des P4 demonstrieren?

Salopp gesagt habe ich bei den Preisen nicht die Kohle mir beide Geräte zu Hause hinzulegen .
Kann man aber im MM oder bei Saturn oder anderen Händlern (mit weniger Fremdlicht) gut vergleichen.

Ja wie erhofft.
Nur komme ich mir etwas wie ein alpha-Tester im dark space vor der sein Testgerät für 750 Glocken kaufen musste.
Stand Sicherheitsupdate: Morgen am 5.11.
Farbstich möchte ich jetzt bei Kunstlicht nicht beurteilen (kleines Pixel).
