Hi,

habe mal wieder etwas interessantes gefunden.

[ROM] Dell Streak 2.2.2 Rooted

In diesem Thread kann über das Rom diskutiert werden... oder User die Probleme haben können auch Fragen stellen... evtl. findet sich jemand der ähnliche Probleme hatte und diese Lösen konnte.
Dennoch weise ich darauf hin das das hier nicht der offizielle Support Thread ist.

ok guys i realize there is a AWS 2.2.2 thread on general but it is corrupted (i dont know why)

i just checked out this and works perfect for me. also screen orientation is really perfect.

landscape and portrait modes really works perfect
also new stage widgets are smoother and faster

Now lets download what we need :

PS: My streak is GAUSBXXX-US So try it with your own risk !


1. Run QDLTool to get a fresh 305

DOWNLOAD QDL

2. Update to 322.. You need the 11 baseband. ( stops the flashing LED problem )

3. Download 2.2.2 Rom Files - Streak.AWS.2.2.2.7z

3.1 Extract files to sdk/tools folder

4. Enter Fastboot mode (Camera+power)

4.1 Go to Command Manager and to your sdk folder.

5. Enter Following Commands :

fastboot -i 0x413c flash system system.img

fastboot -i 0x413c flash boot boot.img

fastboot -i 0x413c reboot

After last command press vol up + down to enter recovery menu ONLY FOR MAKING FACTORY RESET !!!

6. Choose FACTORY RESET !!

Edit: werde diese Anleitung noch heute nutzen um mein Streak auf die "neuste" Firmware zu bringen... Wenn ich das erfolgreich schaffe, verfasse ich danach die Anleitung in Deutsch... und Lade alle benötigten Filez in einem Pack hoch
Edit2: werde auch den PerformanceFix (ohne Kernel) bei dem ROM testen und ebenfalls Berichten...


P.S. Denke dieses Rom wird mein Buggy 1.8.0 ersetzen denn ich denke in Zukunft wird von Steve wenig "neues" (mit weniger Bugs) kommen...

Zusatzinformation:

Methods to insanity that didn't work
-load 309 to 341 no dice
-load djsteve to 341 flashing leds
-load 318 to 341, flashing leds
- not to mention the hours wasted trying to get the nandroid restore to work with single files...

Der Steven hat doch längst gepostet, dass er das 2.2.2 bereits in seiner 1.9-Beta drinne hat.

Ich will aber eine "saubere" Version und nicht Steve Buggy Remix 1.9.0

Das weiß ich doch und kann es sehr wohl nachvollziehen. Ich meinte ja auch pace, wegen seines "um Steve ist es ruhig geworden". War mein Fehler; hätte besser zitieren sollen.
