Du kannst im Nromalfall immer wieder zurück flashen, in jeden Fall kommst du zurück wenn du voher mit CWM ein backup machst.

Ich habe jetzt ein Update erfolgreich eingespielt und natürlich vorher
ein Backup angelegt.
Mit Stock 4.1.2 war es ja so, das die /preload mitgesichert werden musste/sollte.
Gibt es das jetzt unter CM nicht mehr?

Final Notes on the i9100 linaro/sabermod project...

its been 10 months since i started the cm linarosabermod builds. i passed trough 4.1.2, 4.2.2, 4.3.1 and now 4.4.2... made more than +300 different builds, served 161,168 downloads since May of 2013 (MediaFire stats only, i am not counting the downloads on AndroidFileHost, Goo.im, and the new last hosts...), so i am very pleased to know my work was very appreciated.

this project is going down, not just because a very good opportunity showed to sell my i9100, but also for personal reasons.

i asked for the donations to go with this project forward, but that wont be possible, sorry. Those who gave donations for my work over the past months, and want a refund of their donation, please send me a PM, with the subject "Refund", and on the body; name, date of the donation, transaction number, and the amount given. Despite being a donation, and no one forced you to give (your good will did), you are also in the right to ask for a refund of you donation, and i will gladly give it.

I am not here to cheat anyone, and i think i've proven my self the value to the XDA community, over the almost past year.

With the money of selling the i9100, i was able to finish paying by full the new phone, and i will provably be developing for it, but for now, going to take a "vacations" off android development.

Das ist wirklich schade. Und nun? Wie geht es weiter?

Wenn ich so lese, was in der Offical noch nicht rund läuft,
werde ich wohl erstmal bei unserer Linaro/Sabermod bleiben und abwarten.
Wäre denn ein Umstieg so ohne weiteres möglich oder müsste das Phone
komplett neu aufgesetzt werden?
Fragen über Fragen.

Mit dem Erscheinen der offiziellen CM11 war abzusehen, dass die Weiterentwicklung der meisten inoffiziellen CM11-ROMs irgendwann eingestellt wird - zumal ja alle Entwickler auf die selbe Quelle zurück greifen.

Und wie wir feststellen konnten, ziehen sich diverse Fehler wie z. Bsp. die der Camera durch die verschiedenen Versionen durch.

Der Umstieg sollte ohne Probleme möglich sein. Sicherungen/Backups sind noch nie von Nachteil gewesen!

Ich bin heute schon mit einer Träne Im Auge auf die Offizielle Build umgestiegen!Der Umstieg ist nicht schwer!

Backup machen und dann einfach die neuste Nightly der Offiziellen Build auf die Speicherkarte packen und dann so vorgehen:

Wipe Cache partition
Wipe Dalvik Cache
ROM.zip flashen
Wipe Cache partition
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Neustart

Hat bei mir ohne Probleme geklappt!

......Leider kann ein einzelner User diese ganze Arbeit nicht alleine machen!Sodas es nur eine Frage der Zeit war,bis auch diese tolle Rom eingestellt wurde.Das bedauere nicht nur ich,sonder sicherlich etliche andere User auch!Sei es drum.Wichtig ist,dass man am S2 weiterhin werkeln wirdDenn ich bin nicht gewählt auf ein anderes Handy umzusteigen!Denn das S2 läuft immer noch richtig gut

Ich habe mich genau an deine Anweisung gehalten und der Umstieg hat einwandfrei funktioniert.

Falls es einen interessiert. Die Gapps müssen nicht neu geflasht werden.

Wenn ich das richtig übersetzt habe,
hat " Infected " sein S2 günstig verkaufen können und hat auch nicht mehr soviel Zeit, ist echt schade, lief bei mir ohne Probleme.
Na ja die letzte Nightly von heute einmal Flashen und abwarten wie es mit der Offiziellen weiter geht, man muß ja nicht jedes Update mit machen.

Auch wenn ich jetzt auch eine Verwarnung bekomme!

Ich hatte lange Zeit die NeatRom bis zur 5.3.1 danach die Biftor v14 auf meinem S2.
Danach habe ich verschiedene AOSP/AOKP 4.4.2 KitKat getestet,
die mir alle zu wenig in Deutsch waren.
Von den CM11 Mods hatte ich zuerst die von Milaq und wie man bestimmt gelesen hat das Problem
mit den Kamera Einstellungen,
da bin ich auf die Version von Infected umgestiegen und da hatte ich keine Probleme,
als die Offizielle CM11 heraus kam dachte ich Offiziell ist besser und habe diese
geflasht und es lief nicht rund also zurück zu Infected und alles super.
Immer alles, wirklich alles mit Wipe gemacht, es kann nur sein Galaxy S2 ist nicht gleich Galaxy S2,
aber mein Resümee ist, die Version von Infected läuft bei mir am besten,
und das kann ich auch so Unterschreiben.
