Good evening MIUI brothers and sisters, this week's notice as follows:
1. This week we will upgrade to the full model Android 2.3.5. In addition to bring some stability to enhance, but also to upgrade to Google's Gmail and electronics markets.
2. OTA System more streamlined - giving users more freedom
3. Camera supports taking pictures without SD Card - photos will be stored in temporary space and ask you to migrate files once SD Card is detected.
In addition, launcher bug has been solved, and we are aware of the numerous reports of battery drain and overheating.
Complete list will be released on Friday.

[MOD] Extended Settings Menu Options
***ON HOLIDAY UNTIL MONDAY 8th AUGUST SO DON'T EXPECT AN UPDATE UNTIL THEN***
If like me, you like a clean uncluttered look to your MIUI phone you might like this MOD.
This MOD allows you to Hide/Unhide the Status Bar Clock, the Battery Icon the Carrier the Alarm Icon and the Debugging Icon, you also have the option to specify your own custom carrier text and the date formats you'd like to see on the Notification Drop Down and the lockscreen.
Also included is the ability to toggle wallpaper scrolling.
Here's how the date formats work.
So lets say you want the date to appear on the drop down as "Jul 16, 2011 10:21AM" but don't want a date to appear at all on the locksceen, you'd enter :-
MMM d, yyyy h:mma (as the Notification Format) and leave the lockscreen format blank.
**Please be aware that if you specify an invalid date format the status bar will FC.
I'll try to add error checking in a future release** YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
)
As with all MODS there is no guarantee it'll work with all phones.(I only have a Galaxy S)
so please take a Nandroid backup before applying this.

Install Instructions :-
Click the download link below and copy the downloaded file to your SDCARD. Reboot into recovery. Take a backup then flash the MOD.

und auch versucht danach settings zu installieren.

Was soll Ich sagen läuft Gut, "Backup Data & Settings" geht auch

Ich hatte ein paar Monate jetzt CM7 installiert, seit 2 Wochen bin ich jetzt auf MIUI und werde auch dabei bleiben. Bei CM7 gibt es fast tägliche Nightlies, die teilweise instabil sein können, aber es ist das schnellste ROM das ich kenne. MIUI ist ebenfalls extrem schnell, und die Oberfläche ist sehr schön und bis ins letzte Detail anpassbar (über Online-Theme-Repositories). Das gute ist, dass man sehr leicht zwischen MIUI und CM7 switchen kann, da für beide der Installationsvorgang derselbe ist, außerdem können dieselben Kernels verwendet werden. Also sobald du z.B. auf CM7 bist, machst du einfach ein Backup des Systems und installierst dir MIUI, ganz one Odin bzw. Verbindung zum PC.

Ich musste einen Full-Wipe machen, danach hat's funktioniert Aber dank Titanium Backup sind die Apps sehr rasch wieder zurückgespielt.

Dürften daher von der Performenz her eng beieinander liegen.
Der Rest ist Geschmackssache!
Lies mal die letzten Erfahrungsberichte im Galnet Beitrag und bei CM7 und bilde selbst ein Urteil

Das lässt Mich bei MIUI bleiben, die Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten sind bei MIUI einfach umwerfend.
Der zweite Punkt ist ja auch sehr vorteilhaft. Es ist jetzt aber auch keine Große Sache mehr von Stock Samsung zu switchen wie Du schreibst, da ja jetzt bei den AOSP Roms CM7/MIUI auch der Gingerbread Bootloader zum Einsatz kommt. Gell!

Bei mir seit gestern:
MIUI-US 1.8.5 mit Zach NEO Kernel und GB Bootlader: Kaum feststellbarer Akkuverbrauch wenn das FON unbenutzt ist! Ansonsten bisher alles schnell und ohne FC. Fehlt nur noch das Sprachpaket für Deutsch
