AniDroid-N7000 ICS ROM​

Short ROM Information:

AniDroid-N7000 ROM*was built from the latest*CyanogenMod (CM9)*source with the latest*Linaro Toolchain*(GCC 4.7.1)

AniDroid-Hardened-N7000 ROM*that will be also available soon will include*GRsecurity*Kernel and ROM support to provide different Security functionality for mobile devices..

Für mich war aber UC ausschlagebend, da Musikhören mit 200 mHz mehr am akku saugt als 100 ...

Hab jetzt den AniDroid Kernel drauf. Der Thor Kernel ist mir etwas ungeheuer geworden. Macht bisher eine gute Figur. Ich bin sehr, sehr auf die neue Version mit BLN gespannt.

Der 15er THOR ist wohl die sicherste Variante, ansonsten den 16er auslassen und eher den 17er Test-Kernel #4 nehmen.
Ich würde auch gerne AniDroid testen, aber der mag bei mir nicht.

Der Thor v15 lief auch echt super. Allerdings bin ich auf folgenden Beitrag bei XDA gestoßen:

Android (and the linux kernel that powers it) are open source. If linux and it's kernel were not open source, Android would not exist, or at least as we know it. If the Linux kernel was not protected by the GPL but Android was still open source, most of the development on this forum couldn't happen, including this kernel. Linux is based on openness, and the community participating and improving the code. I am a very strong believer in openness, I personally only work on open-source projects, because that's how things get better, new developers learn, and how great ROM's like AOKP and CM are born. Now, to the Thor kernel. The Thor kernel is not open-source. The GPL states that source must be provided upon request whenever a binary is distributed (the zip you flash for Thor is the binary). This isn't a suggestion, it's the law. The developer of the Thor kernel decided that he was too good, and would blatantly ignore the law. Even though his work would not be possible without the GPL in place, because there would be no Samsung kernel source for him to base his kernel off of. Also, you take his word that his kernel is safe. Nobody can confirm that without source. For all you know, his kernel could be collecting information on you (carrier IQ anyone?) Note: I am not saying that that is what is happening. I am however saying, that you do not know it isn't. Other kernels have peer review, other developers can see what's happening on open-source kernels. That is also why you do not see his work on XDA, because we require source to be posted. /rant

Da bin ich dann doch stutzig geworden. Ich will dem Programmierer des Thor Kernels nichts unterstellen, aber wieso legt er seinen Source Code nicht offen?

Weil er dazu nicht verpflichtet ist, es ist eine freiwillige Angelegenheit und aus seinen persönlichen Gründen hat er darauf keine Lust (mehr).
Ich vermute, es lag an XDA, wann und was auch immer da passiert sein mag ...

Anscheinend gibt es in der Open Source Gemeinde ein ungeschriebenes Gesetz, dass sowas auf Nachfrage offengelegt werden soll.

Wie dem auch sei, der AniDroid Kernel läuft genauso smooth wie der Thor v15 und ich bin, wie schon gesagt, auf die neue Version mit BLN Support gespannt.

Ungeschriebene Gesetze sind so eine Sache ... Bin auch auf weitere AniDroid-Kernel gespannt, in Asylum wird der wohl eh bald Serie.
