PA Updates 19-20-21th July 3.68

This one is quite packed, let's get to it.

HALO
- speech bubbles make way when you task, your thumb won't cover them
- displays icons correctly, some were displayed too large before
- comes with a first-run tutorial for new users
- new icon set, closer to Googles Holo
- new animations, for now the number batch makes a flip
- HALO is scalable, meaning you can define sizes
- Low level bugs fixed for closing floating apps (WeChat, ...)
- Tap outside overlay to exit app (complete exit) use back button to go back
- Should now be able to attach pictures in overlay windows (whatsapp, hangout, mms ... etc)

Other changes
- Privacy guard, more neutral icons
- internal Android bugfixes from Google (strncpy / snprintf)

Provider/Downloads
From today on we will use paranoidandroid.co as our main downloading host and Goo as backup, until Goo is healthy again. Speeds should be reasonably fast.

OTA
This is the first build that ships with our new PA-updater, an amazing little app that Yamil and Jesus have cooked up. If you thought updaters must be complex, ugly and hacky - think again. PAU looks and feels great! This will feature fully automatic updating + delta updates. The project is still not 100% finished, have patience should something not work properly yet.

HALO and the CTS (compatibility test suite)
We have come to a point where HALO is very close to passing the CTS, it was a long and hard way until that became a possibility. Most of the issues we had in the beginning are solved now and we can finally say that HALO is pretty safe now. Regarding the FUD that some have spread, HALO does not change the size of an app and has never done it, nor will it ever allow for it. Activities start as new instances always with the same effect that a smaller screen has on them.

ich bin zurück auf die 3.67 nachdem ich massive probleme mit freezes und reboots hatte, für mich erstmal unbrauchbar...ich hab keine ahnung warum

Nichts dergleichen. Dirty install über CM10.1 vom 19/7 - ohne wipes und Kram. Alles gut.
Jetzt auch mit NX 1.42. Läuft rund.
P. S. Neue PA GApps genutzt.

@tlausl Wenn du deine "freezes and reboots" konkretisieren könntest, wäre es durchaus hilfreich. ;-)

Moin. Wollt mal fragen, ob ihr die Einstellungen, von paranoidandroid, Speicher könnt bzw wieder wiederherstellen?
Wenn ich Speicher, kommt zwar ein popup, das ich es im Internet Speicher finden kann /backup aber ich finde das nicht.
Wollt nur mal fragen, ob dies ein generelles "Problem" ist oder es an mir liegt. Hab es auf jeden Fall seit Beginn an, als ich es für das note benutze.

Hi. Leute kann ich bei diesem Rom auch den neuen NX Kernel nutzen. Komme vom Team Union ROM .
Finde diese Kernel irgendwie nie.

Erstmal danke. Mit den Kerneln hab ichs nicht so.
Hans jetzt so verstanden das ich den NX 1.4.2 nehmen kann ind auch den thor oder den cm10.1. Richtig....

Geanu. Die Kernel sind mit dem Rom hier kompatibel. Sie kannst du beruhigt flashen. Vorsicht mit dem Thor, bei einem NandroidBackup kann es passieren, dass das Note mitten bei der Arbeit einen Reboot macht. Ist Kernelbedingt. Flashen geht damit wunderbar, ich benutze für NandroidBackups immer den originalen CM10.1 Kernel. Wenn das Backup fertig ist flashe ich einfach den Thor wieder drauf und fertig. Zieh sie dir am besten mal alle runter aufs Note und probiere sie durch. Du wirst den Besten für dich finden.
