okay, gerade getestet. eigentlich wirklich ganz praktisch aber bei dem doppelten s muss man sich dann etwas mehr zeit lassen. hab jetzt auf 300ms (kleinster wert). ich denke, der wert könnte ruhig noch kleiner gewählt werden...

man kann den wert ja einfach mal in der build.prop noch kleiner einstellen ^^ ich denke 200 wären okay ^^

man muss den intervall echt ändern weil sonst ist man echt langsamer wenn der das zu schnell ändert und man das wieder korigieren darf

Ich hab das jetzt komplett ausgestellt, meine Wortkorrektur kennt mich inzwischen so gut, dass sie weiß, wann ich Umlaute schreiben will. Aber allgemein echt nettes Feature!

jepp! und die größeren werte sind wohl eher für senioren, was? also mit ein wenig feintuning ist die funktion wirklich geil denke ich. ich stell mal in der build.prop auf 200

in der build.prop einstellen bringt nichts man muß es unter:
/data/property/persist.sys.keypad_multipress_t
einstellen ^^ einfach mit dem rootexplorer im texteditor öffnen und den wert ändern

Oder warten, bis jemand einen kleineren Wert in der XML einträgt. ;-)

oder so ^^ kannst ja nochmal 1 oder 2 eintragen ^^ aber ich glaub das 200 sehr gut für schnelle Tipper ist... für mich reichen die 300ms soweit aus bis jetzt ^^

Also genau das richtige für mich!
Ok ich habe jetzt mal zusätzlich 100 ms und 200 ms eingebaut. Sollte also für jeden was dabei sein.

gibt es da eigentlich auch die möglichkeit, das man da keine Auswahl, sondern ein Eingabefeld einbaut? oder wäre das zuviel aufwand?

denn es wird sicher noch jemanden geben, der gern 250 hätte oder für die richtig alten 900 xD

Zur Info:
Dies ist eine Nightly Version meines CM7 Builds, basierend auf Nadlabaks CM7.
Der Build ist ziemlich stabil, und wird von mir im täglichen Gebrauch benutzt.
Trotzdem kann es sein, das einzelne Funktionen nicht oder nur teilweise funktionierten.
Daher bitte vor dem Update immer ein Backup durchführen.
Fehlermeldungen bitte hier im Forum und nicht in Nadlabaks Bugtracker.

und das mit der eingabe war ja ne frage, da ich keine ahnung hab, wie aufwendig das ist ^^ ich kann nur scripte schreiben

ich hoffe mal das es bald jemand hinbekommt nen modul zu schreiben, welches swap erlaubt

Is the 100ms interval really usable? It seemed too short for me when I tested it. But I may have too slow fingers .
As the double ss is quite common in German words, what about to move the sharp s to some other key as alternate double press character?
E.g. double bb is not very common... Though b is not too close to s, apart from the looks B ~ ß...
Any suggestions? Opinions?

i think for me is 200ms a good value.
but i think to put the ß to another key is not a good idea, if you do this, many people will ask why and where the ß is ^^ and for me it makes no sense to do this...

for me all is fine and i like this feature as it is ^^ but maybe other users see it a different way.

or will it be possible to give us a separate option to turn the double press option off only for the s? may that will be a option, if it not to difficult for you to do this

Hi Pavel,

I'm using the 300 ms setting, and I really like the new feature you've implemented.
For me the 100 ms setting is to fast, but maybe some people like it. At least it doesn't hurt the phone performance like a vm heapsize of 42 mb.

I don't think moving the ß character to another key is an good idea.

i really like the feature too, its completes the user experience regarding the hardware keyboard and makes it nearly perfect and fast. providing additional interval values like 100 and 200 is maybe the best approach since everybody can experiment in finding the ideal personal value. putting the ß on any other of the surrounding keys can be an additional feature (if, i would prefer smthing like y or w, which are totally arbitrary but close to the s on a german keyboard) but i fear its difficult to document so users will get confused and consider it a bug once they discover it accidentaly ;-)
