Its a first public preview version of the upcoming Aero Control. Before you download it and test it keep in mind
i had nearly zero experience in Android App development, so bear with me. I spent the last few weeks with reading and learning java.
The little app is the result so far.
Requirements;
- BusyBox
- Root
- Android 4.x
- An working debug environment (for bug reports)
For non-so-technical-users;
Please download it and install it. Tell me everything what might bug you, what i could do better and what doesn't look good.
Tell me how you would use it, if its to complicated to use or whatever. I focused on a really simple to use User Interface
with some eye candy.
For advanced users;
Tell me if i forgot something, if something is really needed or if i should do things the other way.
Tell me also if all the things that should work are even working. Basically shoot out everything
to me which might be not done right.
For Developers;
I will release this app probably under the GPL licence. I played for a short while with the thought to sell this app, but
it doesn't sound right to me. The truth is i spent many hours on this small project, if anybody wants to donate to this work
there is a donate button. I don't want to lockout any users.
By design this app uses the new Navigation Drawer by Google with some additions from me. Each app-page is a new fragment.
Each fragment has different entries which are loaded most time dynamically at startup. It features a small backend which can
communicate with the kernel and get/set all relevant informations. Thats the reason why this app can theoretically work on
different devices as well (thanks to the linux kernel).
While getting feedback i continue working on this app. I have also asked xdaid if he wants to join this little project and he said
yes, so this could even furthermore enhance the app. Someday it should replace the in-build DefyParts in the rom and will
give you full control over your device
I will probably open up a new thread soon and push my code to github, but for now i am using a private repo. If anybody
is interested in joining this little project send me a pm.
Download.
Have a nice weekend!
