ROM Details:

• Based off the official DesireZ Sense ROM (WWE 2.42.405.2), deodexed and zipaligned.
• Pre-rooted with the latest version of Superuser and modified ramdisk to allow adb remount, mock locations, etc.
• Wifi calling included and fully functional, conditionally installed for T-Mobile USA users only.
• Optical trackpad unlock/wake.
• Enhanced reboot options built-in, allowing for booting into recovery, bootloader, hot boot, etc.
• Virtuous Sense custom kernel with overclocking daemon (no need for SetCPU/Tuner). Screen Off: 245760 / 599040 (conservative). Screen On: 245760 / 998400 (ondemand)
• IO optimizations such as use of ext4 for all mounts and larger read-ahead buffer for improved sdcard performance.
• Updated versions of all Market-available apps.
• All Market-installable apps installed in /data/app. These apps are automatically installed for you both on initial install and after a factory reset/wipe. There are custom scripts to use Android's package manager (pm) to manage these apps, which ensures they are installed properly.
• Added applications: ChromeToPhone, Google Voice and Titanium Backup. Since these are Market apps, they are automatically installed in /data/app for easy removal if desired.
• Bloatware, defined as anything you could easily choose to download from the Market yourself, has been removed.
• Disabled boot animation audio.
• Automatic Virtuous OTA upgrade notification and installation via ROM Manager.

1. Full wipe is REQUIRED for this release. Do not restore “system data” with Titanium after a full wipe, it defeats the purpose.
2. Re-based the entire ROM on the official Gingerbread DZ base (WWE 2.42.405.2).
3. Added the latest Virtuous Sense Gingerbread kernel, v3.1.0.
4. Implemented Virtuous Overclocking daemon.

1. Upgrade to ext4 filesystem, using writeback journaling and other optimizations.
2. Added auto battery calibration script (from Virtuous Unity).
3. Added memory management optimizations.
4. Added boot animation from Virtuous Unity.
5. Upgraded to the new Android Market.
6. Updated all Market apps with the latest versions.
7. Re-implemented advanced power menu (thanks seo).
8. Re-implemented trackpad wake.
9. Re-implemented conditional installation of wifi calling (T-Mobile USA only).
10. Re-implemented SIP over mobile networks.
11. Re-implemented keyboard fixes on the G2. The com/www key works properly
    but you should use alt+com/www for symbols.
12. Added new battery icons, which are the same style as G-Lite. This can optionally
    be reverted by creating a file on your sdcard in the virtuous_sense/ directory
    called use_stock_theme.
13. Added support for auto-installed user applications. Place them in the
    virtuous_sense/app.user directory on your sdcard to have them installed
    on the next boot.
14. Swype is no longer included.

hab es mal geflasht und läuft bis jez ohne probleme muss aber gestehen ich hab nicht gewiped...

Ok.Hatte nur die vorherige Version mal drauf,dann aber mal zum Testen
zu CyanogenMod gewechselt.

Gut ist halt auch,das es auf der aktuellen 2.2.1 Firmware nun basiert,
welche wir so ja noch nicht haben bzw.per Update erhalten.

Die wirklich originale "RUU_Vision_HTC_Egypt_1.72.466.4" Firmware
sollte man aber nicht flashen,besteht zur Zeit keine Möglichkeit
zu Rooten etc.!

Aber ein Problem hab ich mit jeder sense rom unter cm6 hat mein z das wifi meines g1 gefunden unter sense findet es das wifi nicht...
irgendeine ahnung warum?

Nö,noch nicht getested,nur andere WLANs von PC`s.
Die finde ich ohne Probleme!

Vielleicht doch mal Full Wipe durchführen!

nee muss an sense liegen hab das handy selbst am anfang nicht gefunden also mit stockrom und ohne root...

Habe mit diesem ROM starke Probleme unter Youtube. HQ-Videos haben Farbfehler und die Youtube-App friert mein Desire Z komplett ein, wenn ich in den Landscape-Mode wechsle.

Also ich hab an manchen HQ Videos nen schmalen grünen Streifen oben, aber aufhängen tut sich da nix... Bestimmt vom Übertakten... Aber Wenn ich mich nicht täusche, wird der Akku um ein vielfaches beansprucht... Normal hab ich am ende des Tages noch 45% und heute nur noch 30 Oo

Hmmm... Das mit dem akku könnte in Einer Linie mit der immensen 3G Nutzung liegen... Der hat sage und schreibe in 24 Stunden 250 MB über 3G gesaugt Oo Ich wüsste ganz ehrlich nicht wofür die draufgegangen sein sollten. Werde das beobachten, wenn die ROM das so weiter macht, ist sie uninteressant für mich -.-

Gefällt mir bisher ganz gut nur 2 Sachen hät ich da noch.

Gibts kein deutsches Layout für Swype oder stell ich mich nur gerade zu doof an?
Sollte da nicht ein oc kernel drin sein? bei mir läuft das Z auf standart 800 Mhz.

Version 0.8.1 erschienen!

Vorallem Probleme mit You Tube sollen nun behoben sein.

Änderungen:

1. Offered only as a patch from version 0.8.0.
2. Fixed media playback issues with YouTube (i.e. green bar).
3. Fixed MMS by modifying user agent string to represent the device as an N1.
4. Updated Android Market to the latest version.
5. Updated ROM Manager to latest Market (mandatory) release.
6. Re-added App Sharing functionality.

Jup, mit dem erschienenen Patch ist Virtuous auch für mich alltagtauglich geworden! Habe zusätzlich noch den Pershoot-Kernel 1.2 für Sense-ROMs installiert und den smartass-Governor aktiviert.

Bisher mit Abstand das beste Sense-ROM für's Desire Z!

Installier diesen Kernel unter ClockworkRecovery:

Wipe vorher besser deine Caches (vor allem den Dalvik)!

Dann kannst du unter SetCPU den smartass-Governor auswählen. Vorher bei SetCPU aber nochmals die Geschwindigkeitserkennung durchführen lassen.

Dazu bräuchte ich wohl erstmal setCPU ^^

Den Kernel hab ich schon geflasht... Dachte das wäre auch ohne Gebühren einstellbar.


EDIT: Kann mit SetCPU aber nur ONDEMAND, PERFORMANCE oder USERSPACE angeben... -.-

Dann hast du irgendwo was falsch gemacht. Dass sind die Standard-Governor, der Pershoot-Kernel bietet sehr viel mehr Auswahl.

Einfach nochmal in den Recovery-Modus, Caches leeren, Kernel flashen, neustart, SetCPU starten, unter Optionen nochmal "autodetect" wählen und dann müssten die anderen Governors verfügbar sein.
