Virtuous Doubleshot is a port of the ROM from the MyTouch 4G Slide, which features a custom version of Sense 3.0. It is based on the final/official base (Doubleshot_TMOUS_1.01.531.1). The custom Sense variant featured in this ROM is called Espresso, which is quite different visually from standard Sense UI. Additionally, the MT4G Slide is a WVGA device, meaning no re-sizing was needed.

• Built-in screen state frequency scaling (1.2Ghz-245MHz/ondemand screen-on, 806Mhz-245Mz/conservative screen-off), via custom built Virtuous_OC C daemon.
• Trackpad wake support (DesireZ/G2 and MT4G only).
• WiFi calling (T-Mobile USA only).
• Fully functional device hardware, including wifi, bluetooth, camera, camcorder, etc.
• Market-sourced applications (Gmail, Maps, Voice, etc) automatically installed on first boot into /data/app for easy removal.
• Bloatware and unnecessary applications removed.

Porting Information and Credits

Virtuous Doubleshot, or any components therein, may not be ported to other devices without explicit email approval from the development team. We will be approving ports, presuming the develop of a given port is ready and willing to follow the same revision control and release processes currently employed existing devices.

Important Notes

• For Vision users, the DesireZ hboot is REQUIRED. I have written a guide for G2 users who need to make this transition.
• If you are experiencing random freezes and/or reboots, this is likely due to your device being incapable of handling our overclocking defaults. Download and apply this flashable patch, which will reduce the maximum CPU frequency to 1Ghz and likely eliminate this issue.
• You must complete a full wipe prior to installing this ROM the first time. We also recommend wiping between upgrades, but you are welcome to try upgrading without a wipe. However, no support will be provided if you file a bug without having wiped prior to submission.
• Disconnect your USB cable prior to the first boot, otherwise the Market apps do not install. This is because the default USB connection mode is "Disk Drive". We will resolve this issue in a future release.

Im XDA Thread weder ja schon einige Probleme berichtet! Hast du eine rotating Rosie?
Wie sieht es mit den genialen Sense3 Lockscreens aus? Auch das People Widget soll
fehlen!? Kannst Du das bestätigen?

mache gerade ein Nandroid etc. vom aktuellen ROM danach werde ich sie
direkt aufspielen und berichten.

Also eine rotating rosie habe ich nicht und kann auch keine lockscreen einstellungen finden!

Aber ansonsten läuft die ROM super und sieht auch gut aus, mal schauen was so in den nächsten versionen
dazu kommt. Werds jetzt erstmal drauf lassen.

Was ich nicht ganz so schön finde ist der Hintergrund der Icons wie auf Bild 3 zu sehen, ansonsten läufts ganz gut!

Und die Wetteranimation ist endlich mal richtig angepasst. Sieht top aus.

Im XDA Forum konnte ich folgende Zusammenfassung finden:

The rom was really smooth, but it seems like, it was a rom in between Sense3.0 and Sense2.1, As it don't have the full features of Sense3
I found these,
No option for the 7 homescreens,
Rosie isn't rotating,
Missing People and News widgets,
Unable to add Favorites,
No Shortcuts on the lockscreen, hope MDJ will fix that.

I found these advantages Over other Sense3 roms,
We have Several themes inbuilt,
Camera was really awesome,
HTC trace is working,
Different HTC dialer,
5 Shortcuts on the Nav bar as ADW launcher

Also ich habs mal kurz angetestet, bin von der Smoothness echt begeistert. Die Espresso-Rosie find ich auf jeden Fall super, ob sie nun rotiert oder nicht. Die Widgets find ich von der Grösse her besser als bei Unity, sieht einfach besser(stimmiger)aus.

Aber leider fehlen noch einige Sachen, wie Denova schon anmerkte mit dem Zitat aus dem XDA-Forum.
Auf jeden Fall bräuchte ich für meinen Fall 7 Homescreens(hab mich halt dran gewöhnt), das Kontakt-und Nachrichten-Widget fehlt mir auch sehr.

Stellt sich mir die Frage, ob man nicht vllt die Rosie aus Espresso in das Unity-Rom integrieren könnte, da die anpassbaren Button unten schon nicht schlecht sind. Vllt. probier ich´s einfach mal nachher ...

Hat auf jeden Fall Zukunft dieses ROM, wenn noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten ausgebügelt bzw. ergänzt werden. Bin erstmal wieder zurück zu Unity und werd mal ein paar Updates abwarten - wenn sie denn kommen.

Ich hätte ne frage zur Kamera.

Und zwar unterscheidet Sie sich irgendwie von der Sense 3.0 Cam, mal abgesehen davon das sie anders aufgebaut ist...Ich meine eher in der Hinsicht von der Qualität der Bilder/Videos ???

Bin grade zu faul zum Flashen deswegen frag ich =)

Hab das selbe Radio drauf, aber keine Probs mit den Verbindungen(alle) gehabt.

Ich find das ROM bisschen langweilig. Das ist ja wirklich ein kompletter Stock Port. Landscape Modus ging bei mir nicht. Aber ansonsten lief es schon ganz gut.

Mir gefällt das ROM ziemlich gut.
Das Menü hab ich mir schon lange gewünscht, flüssig ist es auch.
Ich vermisse nur die ganzen Mods (5x5 App-Drawer) und Themes.

Ja das problem mit WLAN hab ich auch. zumindest zeigt das Handy eine schlechte verbindung an, da nur der Punkt vom WLAN Symbol leuchtet.

in den WLAN einstellungen hat das WLAN Symbolmehrere striche noch dazu.

Aber ich kann ungestört das internet nutzen. Solang die Verbindung dadurch net schlecht ist, ist es ja eigentlich egal.

Deaktiviert mal wlan , anschliessend wieder einschalten. Danach sollte die Anzeige korrekt sein.
