Installation:
Wie gehabt, über CWM oder ACMEInstaller.
Falls ihr nicht von CyanogenMod kommt, wird im Falle von der CWM Methode ein Wipe vor dem flashen empfolen.

CAN I UPDATE *DIRECTLY* FROM CYANOGENMOD 7?

Yes. And you can try it even without a wipe of /data. The key is to use ACMEInstaller2 (see link below) rather than the ClockWorkMod Recovery to do the installation. If you use the ClockWorkMod Recovery, you’ll run into troubles, and though CyanogenMod 9 will install, you’ll need to reset(format) your data.

Our testing has shown that ACMEInstaller2 will resolve the issues. Your results may vary, but it may be worth using it to upgrade. Especially since newer versions of Titanium backup will crash on start up.

The process for using ACMEInstaller2 is exactly the same as when you first installed CyanogenMod 7.


I’VE NOT INSTALLED ANY VERSION OF CYANOGENMOD BEFORE. HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Please read all previous instructions/documentations for CyanogenMod 7. Start with the instructions for Alpha 1, then 2, 3, and 3.5. This should bring you up to speed with how to install and what to expect.

ACMEInstaller2 is the latest version of the installer and will do it all for you. You will need the files at the end of this document:

Tracking IDs v14 for CM9 2012-02-27:
Changed hover debounce - it now doesn't start the hover debounce unless you hover for 30 cycles (about 0.3 seconds) which should smooth out slow scrolling a little bit. I also moved the power management of the digitizer into ts_srv and out of liblights. Liblights should just be for the screen / notification lights. The CM team originally located the digitizer power management in there in lieu of setting up communications between liblights and ts_srv. We're now able to use the same socket communications to determine when to turn the digitizer on/off as well as open & close the uart.

Tracking IDs v13 for CM9 2012-02-25:
Added a filter to debounce a "hover" after scrolling. If you scroll a little ways then hold your finger still, it will debounce to 2 pixels. This may make scrolling really slowly a little bit jumpy, but it will keep the screen from wiggling around if you hold your finger still after scrolling. This version also includes a newer version of ts_srv_set that can return the touchscreen mode that is currently in use. This will be needed for the new custom settings for the TouchPad that include the ability to change touchscreen modes.

Tracking IDs v12 for CM9 2012-02-16:
No changes to the way touch behaves. Updated the path for the socket to use what I believe it he proper location for a Unix socket. This also marks the unification of the finger and stylus versions of the driver and you can now choose which mode of operation you want on the fly. There is an additional binary included in this zip called ts_srv_set. Run it via adb or terminal emulator like so:
ts_srv_set S
The above command would set the touchscreen thresholds for stylus operation. Doing this:
ts_srv_set F
will set it back to finger mode. The setting will stick between reboots (yes, we're using a settings file of sorts -- a very basic one) but the setting will be wiped in a factory reset. The default setting is finger mode, so if you are a finger user, there is nothing that you need to do. This version also includes the power savings features from v11, of course. Settings for finger then stylus mode are unchanged, but as follows:
TOUCH_INITIAL_THRESHOLD 32 32
TOUCH_CONTINUE_THRESHOLD 26 16
TOUCH_DELAY_THRESHOLD 28 24
TOUCH_DELAY 5 2


Tracking IDs v11 for CM9 2012-02-15:
No changes to the way that touch itself behaves. I have added code to both liblights and the touchscreen driver so that liblights can tell the touchscreen driver when the screen turns off. The touchscreen driver will now close the uart connection that it uses to receive touchscreen data to save a little bit of battery power.

Hallo! Hat schon jemand das neueste Nightly installiert? Wenn ja, welche Änderungen sind zur aktuellen Alpha 0.6 erkennbar?
Habe keine Erfahrungen mit Nightlys, kann ich die einfach wieder über cwm flashen?

Hab die Intallation mit in Post#1 aufgenommen.
Alles wie gehabt.

Anmerkung:
Es sind tägliche Builds -> es werden täglich Dinge verbessert, es können aber genauso Regressionen auftreten!

So, hab jetzt mal das aktuelle Nightly mit CWM geflasht, dazu die aktuellen GApps vom 15.02.2012, läuft alles sehr flüssig und rund, habe noch keine Probleme festgestellt. :thumbsup: Meiner Meinung nach besser als die Alpha 0.6, werde es weiter testen...

Muss theoretisch besser sein, weil mindestens 2 Wochen mehr Entwicklungszeit drin steckt :)

Klingt auf jeden Fall gut, danke schonmal für das Feedback, ich werde es nach der Arbeit auch machen.
 
Wenn du mir sagst, wo ich immer die aktuellsten Gapps finde, dann füge ich das hinzu :)

Hab die gleiche Installation wie du durchgeführt.
Update:
Sehr erfreulich: Habe jetzt keine "Screen-WakeUps" mehr wenn das TouchPad gesperrt ist. Zuvor ist es mal alle paar sekunden, mal nach 10 minuten immer wieder kurz aufgeleuchtet und dann wieder dunkel geworden, das hat extrem batterie gekostet...

Weniger erfreulich: Reboot funktioniert bei mir nicht, wie bei der 0.6 schaltet das TP aus. Überlege ob ich den Reboot fix von der Alpha 0.6 installieren soll?!

@RalfXtra: Was ist der tenderloin-ts-tracking_id_v11.zip? Was macht der? Und wo bekomme ich das her? (Ich weiß nicht was es ist, aber ich will es :))
 
Das sind die neuesten Touchscreen Treiber, werden täglich hier aktualisiert:

changelogs gibts auch jeweils dort.

Mit den neuen treibern bekommst du eine bessere reaktion auf touchscreen eingaben, z.b. keine versehentlichen doppelklicks mehr usw., die touchscreen sensitivität wird da justiert. Ebenso wurden die Treiber für eine Verwendung mit einem Stylus verbessert! Bin hoch zufrieden damit! Vor allem im Vergleich zu den Touchscreen Treibern aus der Alpha 0.6... :thumbdn:

Probier mal das Gerät "Auszuschalten" dann macht er bei mir öfters einen Neustart. Beim "Reboot" hingegen, schaltet er sich ab :D
 
@RalfXtra: der fix für die 0.6 sollte hier ja auch gehen. Mach doch vorher n Nandroid und teste. Wenn du es nicht machst, mach ich es heute abend ;-)
 
Mit Leuten die sich auch bei XDA und RootzWiki schlau machen macht das hier beim Touchpad auch richtig Spaß :)

Danke für die Info, wird im OP aufgenommen.

Hatte bisher mehr das Gefühl, dass für das TP hier die meisten nach Anleitungen suchen aber selber nicht bei XDA oder RootzWiki unterwegs sind.

Wir stehen dir bei Keks... ich hab den Thread erst vor ein paar Tagen entdeckt. Ab jetzt regelmäßig hier, bei rootzwiki und xda sowieso!

Mit deiner, und der Hilfe der anderen machen wir hier nen schönen deutschen Thread fertig!

@Donald Nice: Habs probiert, der Reboot fix von der Alpha 0.6 funktioniert tatsächlich problemlos auch bei der Nightly! Kannst also bedenkenlos flashen.

Allgemein muss ich sagen dass ich wesentlich schneller einen W-LAN fix habe nach dem systemstart! :)

Und die Ausschalt bzw. Reboot-Menüs sind jetzt auf deutsch! waren vorher auf englisch... oder?! :confused2:

Ich hab da mal einen Vorschlag :

Wenn ihr von irgend einem Fix schreibt - könnt ihr dann bitte auch direkt die Quelle mit angeben ?

Wenn das dann auch noch als Perfektion im ersten Thread stehen könnte, dann hat man auf einen Blick alle Dateien zur Verfügung und kann loslegen.
