[ROM][4.4.4] SlimKat [Stable 9][Gapps#385][29.12.2014]

Hallo Community,

ich hab über die SuFu nix gefunden, bin gerade auf Stock Rom + Franco Kernel r52, kann ich trotzdem einfach die stable Rom flashen? Wenn ja, bleibt der franco Kernel erhalten? Oder muss ich zuerst den Stock Kernel flashen und dann die SlimRom?

Das ist mir durchaus bewusst aber dort steht nicht, ob man mit Kernel XY oder ROM XY flashen darf und deswegen frag ich hier nochmal lieber nach!

Kommst du von einer anderen Rom immer FullWipe und da Slim AOSP ist, kannst du danach einen AOSP Kernel flashen.

Mach ein FullWipe. Dann Rom, gapps und Franco. Nach jedem update, von slim, musst du Franco hinterher haun. Ansonsten, hast du den Kernel von den slims drauf.

funktioniert bei Euch das Blinken der LED? Ich habe es aktiviert, aber irgendwie will die LED nicht hektisch werden...

Neue Links im Startpost eingefügt, wieder aktuell.

Wenn ich das bei XDA richtig verfolgt habe, wird ein clean flash wegen der Gapps empfohlen, oder als Alternative wohl alles mögliche manuell löschen (cache von verschiedenen Apps). Was genau müsste ich bei Interesse nochmal gucken, ich bevorzuge jedoch den clean Flash.


Edit: So, habe dann doch nochmal geguckt: Empfohlen wird wie gesagt clean flash mit wipe system manuell, bei dirty folgendes als Empfehlung: remove any updates for play store, Google play services, and Google services framework from /data/app/.

Es gab noch mal neue gapps. Gab wohl ein Problem mit TTS, deshalb wurden die gapps noch mal upgedated:
Downloads - Addons4.4

Minimal gapps scheinen nicht bearbeitet worden zu sein, sondern lediglich upgedated damit es gleich ist mit den AIO gapps. Wer also die minimal gapps geflasht hat, muss nicht neu flashen.

Ich verstehe das immer noch nicht ganz.
Wenn ich jetzt ALLES UPDATEN will ohne alle Daten zu verlieren, wie muss ich dann vorgehen?
Weil wenn ich das richtig verstehe heißt clean flash ja auch das ich die APP Daten löschen soll, somit sind ja alle Daten, Einstellungen usw futsch. Da hilft mir auch kein twrp backup weil das ja die neuen gapps mit den alten wieder überschreiben würde, oder nicht?

Dann flasht du einfach das ROM und die neuen GAPPS via Recovery drüber und danach DalvikCache und Cache wipen, fertig!

Nennt man auch Dirtyflash xD

Ich dachte der dirty flash ist mit den gapps von slim nicht so einfach.
Es steht ja immer:
NOTE:

For dirty flashers: Before you flash, you MUST wipe your system manually. Gapps has received major rework, and this way you ensure that nothing old will be left.

Was ist nun mit "wipe your system manually" alles zu löschen?

Joa dann wipe halt System mit, aber nur halt Data net

Du verlierst nur alles wenn du wipe Data machst. Mit wipe System verlierst du nur die dpi, sofern du die geändert hattest.

Genau, in Recovery
-wipe dalvik
-wipe cache
-wipe system
Dann flashen von ROM und Gapps. Dann evtl. nochmal wipe dalvik und cache.
Danach booten.

Dinge wir dpi oder fast GPS fix musst du neu einstellen. Adaway oder andere adblocker musst du ebenfalls noch mal starten, die sind sonst nicht wirksam (danach Handy neu starten damit sie wirksam werden).
Danach kannst du anderen Kernel flashen wenn du magst.

Hey guys

So after long time offline and sitting one month on 4.8 version with 800h uptime I needed to reboot and update lmao

First of all I feel better especially health wise. Thanks for the support. Was not able to be online last month....sorry for that. Whatever now I have new and enough power to manage the other problems in life.

Whatever.....Josue and Anthony already started this week to merge 4.4.3...great job!!! yesterday I had a bit time and started a 12h coding marathon result is that hammerhead is fully 4.4.3 now and buildable from source. Aside that I added some fixes on top on kernel, frameworks base and dialer to fix some old minor issues.

For the ppl who want to follow what codewise happened do not check gerrit...you need to look on github. With big merges like this most goes bypass so you do not see it in gerrit. So check the first three repo pages

I published an hour ago an unofficial build on SlimROMs.net. dirty flash worked here. As usual if you have strange bugs do a clean flash.

Known issues are:
- Dialer colors if trds is enabled are off.
- fingerprint need to be updated (well that is just cosmetic in build.prop and does not effect anything)

That's it...all other seems to work very well. The notification led problem is fixed as well (I saw the report here last night)

So busy day today .... I will end my post....the team will now work on the other devices
