4.3 Beta 7

During the past few days, we at PA headquarters have been working on a lot of improvements to the new features. Yes, we’re talking about Hover and Peek. A lot of bugs have been fixed, the logic behind them has been improved, and some UI changes have been made for a better user experience. We also have some exciting news to share with you! As many of you may already know, our co-founder +Jesús David Gulfo Agudelo* (Responsible for the original Peek algorithm and UI) and +Francisco Franco* recently released Peek as a standalone app to the Play Store. The idea behind this app is to bring this useful feature to the masses. The app went through a major redesign coming from PA’s Peek in order to make it more appealing and easier on the eyes. You can get the application at 4.09$ / 2.99€ on the Play Store by clicking the link at the end of this post.

It’s true that some of the users want the functionality and customization of Peek’s app to be ported to PA, but it deviates from our philosophy. PA Peek was designed to be a quick, straightforward way to check your notifications, a concept that will be kept, and, therefore, most of the features from the Peek app will not be added to the ROM. There are, however, a couple of fixes and improvements to UI and functionality that were made while developing the application for all Android 4.4 devices. Those will be ported back and open sourced within the next few days. In addition, latest Peek app (1.76) will now disable PA’s native peek in order to avoid unexpected behavior.

We hope your questions about the possibility of the new peek features being ported to PA have been answered. Enjoy this release, and don’t feel obligated to buy the application, as the functionality is similar. If you like the new design, go for it, otherwise you can still rock with the included version.

Ja. Ohne wipe. Ganz "dreggisch."
Nur Rom (und SuperSU 1.97, weil ich diese Superuser Lösung von Chainfire mag) geflasht. Ohne alles. Läuft.
Alles gut.

On this week’s dose of awesome sauce from PA Headquarters. We are proud to bring you Theme Engine, a stable Hover and a bunch of fixes. Hats off to CM, Clark Scheff, Andrew Mast and Sony mobile, for their work on Theme engine Truly outstanding work. Porting it to an AOSP base was a massive effort, lead by +Carlo Savignano. We tried to do it in a way so that it can be easily ported to other AOSP based ROMs for the benefit of the entire community. We are also proud to mark Hover stable, after many betas and three rewrites. We apologize for all the betas, but we really wanted to try to get this right, we encourage you to compare this build to beta 1, some major improvements have been made. The lessons learned here means more/quicker awesomeness in the future.

With Google IO only a month away we are nearing the end of Kitkat, but that doesn't mean development is slowing down. Our team is comprised of numerous students and with school ending we are now doubling down on making PA awesome, we plan to finish strong and have a few Major projects to release that we have been working on internally for quite some time. Awesomeness is coming *

P.S. This is still 4.4.2. We have merged and are testing 4.4.3 internally but it was released too close to our release to allow enough time for adequate testing.*

P.S 2 Like the Themes shown off in the image below they were made by our own +Matt Flaming* and *+Lo Huot* and are available on the play store (PiazzA will be available soon). Show them some love.

General
- Translated into over 30 languages!
- Backported numerous fixes from AOSP master.
- Improved quicksettings.
- Removed lockscreen blur feature in favor of custom lockscreen background from*Theme Engine (it will come back as a component of theme engine in the future).

Theme Engine
- Bring full CM11 theme engine. (First AOSP based ROM!!)
- WARNING: Home button gets refreshed only after reboot or by force killing SystemUI *if you want to *a avoid reboot. Will be fixed in next build.

Hover
- Stable status!!
- Removed Jank (its a technical term)
- Fixed remaining bugs, including spam and invisible notifications.
- Fully working and improved inCallUi.
- Restored default swipe to dismiss behavior. An upcoming swipe up gesture will let you dismiss*hover as was replacing the old behavior.

Pie/Immersive
- Fixed immersive API Thanks for the developers who helped diagnose the issue
- Vastly improved triggering, and allow you to trigger from any area on the edge on tablets.
- Pie now rotates like the navBar (will appear on short edge).
- Enabled pie only on immersive mode enabled by quick settings tlie (not in app immersive).
- Fixed AOSP immersive bug issue where apps would register a touch when swiping statusBar*and/or navBar.
- Fixed numerous freezes.

WARNING: We recommend a clean flash this time due to massive changes

Hallo zusammen,

irgendwie habe ich es geschafft, die PIE verschwinden zu lassen, obwohl sie aktiv ist. Ich habe von unten ins Bild geswiped und gedrückt gehalten. Dann wollte ich schauen, was passiert, wenn ich mit dem Finger über die Uhr fahre. Links und rechts erschienen zwei Halbkreise. Ich bewegte meinen Finger auf den rechten Halbkreis, dieser wurde größer und verschwand und mit ihm die PIE. Sie ward nie wieder gesehen.

Gibt es einen Weg, sie zu resetten ohne die ROM komplett zu resetten?

Zur Info:
Ich verwende die PA4.4b1.

M.E.sind die zwei Halbkreise zwei trigger-Punkte wohin du PIE verschieben kannst...normalerweise sollte sich PIE jetzt dort an der Seite öffnen lassen wohin du es verschoben hast...
Einfach mal von dort reinwischen

Seltsamerweise hat, nachdem das Gerät nun ein paar Minuten herumlag, die PIE wieder unten gehabt. Ich habe nun das Spiel wiederholt und die PIE an den rechten Punkt verschoben und wieder ist sie nicht erreichbar, weder unten an ihrer Ursprünglichen Position, noch rechts, noch links. Von oben natürlich ohnehin nicht, weil da ja die Statusbar sitzt.

Ich frage mich, was das PA-Team da gebastelt hat. Die Funktion verstehe ich nicht.

Trotzdem danke für die schnelle Antwort.

EDIT:
Wenn ich von der rechten unteren Ecke diagonal ins Bild wische, kommt die PIE am rechten Rand. Das Problem ist also gelöst. Das Mysterium um die PIEsition allerdings noch nicht für mich.

Ich kenne die Funktion eigentlich von Slim PIE und da hat es immer funktioniert...Weiß nicht, was pa davon übernommen hat...

Pie war eine Innovation von PA. Nicht von Slim...

Bei mir gehen beide Seiten nicht, weder links noch rechts. Muss dann über Einstellungen > Sichern und zurücksetzen die Pie Einstellungen resetten und dann erst kann ich die Pie unten nutzen.
An den Seiten klappt es erst mal nicht.
Edith sagt. Es klappt doch an beiden Seiten, aber äußerst mühsam. Eher zufällig gerade in die Recent apps gekommen mit Pie...
