i think aaron will start torelease previews for his devices today. i'll still take a day or two to hunt stuff down. had someproblems finding the right vendor files for gps and paprefs doesnt get the right to write to system files (properties.conf) in 4.3's new filesystem. 4.3 in general is a major headache - but it will be tamed.

i find it funny though that in their "keynote" google made it look like, "oh, we did nothing, new bt maybe..." meanwhile they ship 100.000.000.000.000 commits on the aosp.

Finde ich auch ziemlich witzig, würde mich interessieren warum Google da so geheimnisvoll tut. Ist ja wie Ostereier suchen.

oh yeah, before i forget it. we had to remove theming engine and privacy guard. theming engine - i don't even know if it will come back, its such a messy thing and creates a lot of trouble. we will probably write our own at some point.
privacy guard is obsolete, we can tinker with googles app ops and make it more usable,expose it in the system settings.


again, this all sounds strange considering that google was like "oh, here's 4.3, just added bluetooth support" when in fact this was the biggest update since 4.0.

root ist ja nicht wie bei den anderen supersu sondern der von koush

CM hat ja auch Koushs Superuser drin und das funkt bei mir nicht unter CM 10.2. Ich muss immer SuperSU nachflashen damit ich Root habe. Wenn PA ne eigene Theme Engine schreibt, dann muss es wohl wieder eigene Themes nur für PA geben... Ich hoffe es jedoch nicht, das wäre ganz klar blöd. Ich werde wohl warten mit PA 4.3, bis sich da einiges geklärt hat.

Ja, ich denke auch das es am Anfang mehr Nachteile geben wird als Vorteile! Und so schlecht ist 10.1 ja auch nicht Ich bin grundsätzlich dafür wenn sie Sachen raus werfen die nicht sauber gemacht sind! ich kann auf Themes verzichten, aber nicht auf Zuverlässigkeit!

Naja, immerhin kündigt moles an, dass es noch nicht rund läuft. Allerdings würde ich dann gar kein Build in die Freie Wildbahn schicken...
Ich bleibe auch noch auf Stock bis sich der ganze Staub gelegt hat! Und mit meinen speziellen Apps habe ich mit Stock schon fast ein CM-Feeling!

Ich werds definitiv auch testen. Auf Themes kann ich verzichten und Sache mit den PA Prefs... ich denke das wird relativ schnell gefixt und bis dahin gehts auch ohne. Klingt für mich außerdem so, als könnte man die properties.conf manuell verändern bzw mit einem Backup ersetzen.

Zur Theme Engine: Ein gibt einen Xposed Mod, der die Themes auch verarbeiten kann. Ob das mit 4.3 auch klappt, ist natürlich fraglich, aber einen Versuch ists wert:

Ich will nicht auf Themes verzichten. Hab mir zwei oder drei gekauft und will die auch nutzen können. Besonders Holo Glass hat es mir angetan. Aber man kann nicht alles haben. Dann warte ich weiter auf die CM10.2 Builds.
