Gibt ja kaum gravierende Neuerungen in den kommenden Kernels. Wenigstens sind die "meisten" jetzt zumindest Stabil..

Matrix v20.5 ist raus ;-)

  • [KERNEL][INFO][2012-06-24] _thalamus Nexus S kernels - Stable & Test releases
Change Log :

Test Nexus S kernel release 3.0.36-12
Changelog:
  • Rebased against AOSP common and merged up to 3.0.36 from mainline
  • Dumped compiler optimisations
  • Voodoo Sound v10 is still here, don’t worry :p
  • Same Newlib based bare metal toolchain as previous release
Test Nexus S kernel release 3.0.36-13
Changelog (as –12 with the following changes):
  • Wifi will now work if installed with a CM based ROM (funky symlinking magic in the updater-script.
  • Moved cifs and utf8 from the zImage into /system/lib/modules – if you need these modules you will need to load them with insmod /system/lib/modules/cifs.ko etc (unfortunately modprobe doesn’t work correctly as it looks for modules in /lib instead of /system/lib). But CifsManager will do that automatically for you.

  • [KERNEL] bedalusKERNEL v1.2 - MTP for all ROMs!
Cyanogenmod base features:
- Merged to 3.0.36 from mainline.
- Voodoo sound v10
- BLN
- Deep Idle:- Kalim included code that limits the maximum frequency to 800MHz when DI is active. Great innovation Kalim! I have further modified this code to bring the min up to 800MHz too. I have added the things I like:
- CFQ scheduler
- Deadline I/O scheduler adjusted for flash for lowest I/O latencies (thanks thalamus)
- BLX
- BLD
- Voodoo colour
- Gamma settings by morfic, thank him for giving permission
smile.gif

- SLUB memory allocator*
- SmartassV2 governor*
- Deep Idle locks to 800MHz regardless of your governor settings. This is an adaptation of kalim's code. Why? Because I proved that 800MHz is the most power saving state for Deep Idle. Check my research.*
- Removed pointless governors
- Removed OC and custom voltage
- PM_FAST (fast wifi with screen off: power saving for downloading files, high power use when idle.)
- 1.2 GHz step
- v0.6 onward have MTP working for ROMs that support it. Krarvind is the one who made this work (donate to him
here), with the help of another dev, so kudos to them.

MTP works with all ROMs (
check this tip from pigsan!)

Also, any cyanogenmod 9 or AOKP based ROMs support MTP in the storage options without the need for a dedicated app. Krarvind's Slim ICS also has the native MTP switch, and there may be other AOSP based ROMs with the included switch too.

What is MTP? Microsoft's Media Transfer Protocol. It allows for dramatically faster transfers too the phone, so it is really good when you are copying over films or mp3 folders. What's really good is that you can continue to use your apps while these transfers happen. Faster? More functional? You bet! The limitations are that it is relatively unsupported on non-Windows platforms. However, you can investigate these possibilities: Ubuntu:
here. --- --- Mac: here.

Change Log :

Version History
v1.2
-Stable
-800MHz DI code fixed
-Adds BLD
-Increased system timer from 256 to 512Hz
-Fixed config to sort a graphics issue I was having

Rex, hast du einen von denen mal getestet? Ich wollte den von bedalus mal testen, aber bin bisher mit dem Matr1x ganz zufrieden..:)
