For Android 6.0 Marshmallow
No changes to the actual kernel, therefore no need to update. This will make clean installs easier
Stock ROM, already rooted:
-just flash EX
Stock ROM, not rooted:
-just flash EX, but make sure you install SuperSU 2.52 if you want root. Chainfire's boot.img is not necessary
Custom ROM:
-just flash EX
-if it bootloops or you want selinux permissive, flash this permissive zip
Sorry, I am not adding a permissive option to the installer due to the problems I had with Google a few months ago

Power Button etc anders nutzen wenn das Display aus ist. Klingt interessant. Bin gespannt, was die Devs sich da so ausdenken...

For Android 6.0 Marshmallow
-enforcing/permissive is now optional (yeah, I know, but it was causing me too much support trouble). Permissive.zip is no longer needed.
-no need to flash Chainfire's boot.img, the correct sepolicy for stock ROM is automatically installed and disabling the enforcing option will allow the kernel to run on permissive custom ROMs
Stock ROM (rooted or unrooted):
-just flash EX, no need to flash Chainfire boot.img
Custom ROM:
-just flash EX, if it needs permissive, then make sure "Enforcing" is not checked in the installer options
NOTE: if you've previously flashed, and have wrong battery percentage, reflash the kernel that came with your ROM before flashing elementalx. The battery problems was caused by flashing Chainfire's boot.img, which gives you the incorrect ramdisk from an earlier release.

Changes:
-enforcing optional

Update for Android 6.01
For stock ROM:
If you want root, you must use SuperSU 2.61 found here:
EXPERIMENT: Root without modifying /system #2: Automation - Post #3
Flash SuperSU 2.61 in recovery, then flash ElementalX in recovery
You only need to install SuperSU the first time. Once you are successfully rooted, you can install any future update of ElementalX without reflashing SuperSU again.
If you install other kernels after this, you must flash stock boot.img, then SuperSU 2.61, and then ElementalX.
For pre-rooted custom ROM:
Just flash ElementalX
Download
ElementalX-N5-6.07
Changes:
-update for Android 6.01
flar2 schrieb:Selinux could not be set to permissive in 6.13, that was something I forgot, It's now fixed.
If you must run permissive, then use the permissive.zip found here: permissive.zip | by flar2 for Generic Device
