SlimSaberKat is build from SlimKat source with SaberMod 4.8.4 compiler and lots of build optimisations like O3, strict aliasing and many more to make the ROM even faster and smoother. If you want to see all optimization flags set for building this ROM, have a look a look at this commit, line 71-73.
Mittlerweile ist der Dev, aufgrund von Probleme durch die Nutzung des AluCard Kernel, wieder davon ab.

Nach einem FullWipe mit anschließender Installation der 5.4 incl. der GApps_minimal 5.4 gab es erst mal Probleme mit dem Nova-Launcher. Nachdem ich meine Nova-Settings importierte war angeblich kein Platz mehr auf dem (leeren) Startbildschirm. Erstmal egal.

Einige Kacheln im QS-Drawer ließen sich nicht umplatzieren (in der Konfiguration schon, im Ergebnis aber nicht). Auch kein akutes Problem.

Das NoGo war dann allerdings, daß der Akku von 60% auf 15% in der Nacht fiel, ohne jede Tätigkeit (normalerweise sind es unter SlimKat/Alu max. 0.5%/h). Da ich derzeit keine Zeit habe, den Problemen auf den Grund zu gehen, back to SlimKat.

Sehr witzig, dass es eigentlich eine Slim ist, war mir schon klar, mein Freund
Mich hätte nur interessiert, was er, falls überhaupt, geändert hat. Ich muss nämlich sagen, ich stelle keinen Unterschied zur Slim fest. Weder Geschwindigkeit noch Smoothness etc...

Hallo!

Ich hab's gestern Nachmittag mal geflasht - so als "Vergleich" zum Originalen Slim Kat. Bisher bin ich davon eher begeistert - Akku-Verbrauch im Standby ist ein Traum ( was ich trotz mehrerer Versuche mit dem AluCard-Kernel nicht sagen konnte).
Mal sehen, ob sich das hier weiterentwickelt oder nur 'ne Eintagsfliege bleibt (was zumindest meiner Meinung nach recht schade wäre)!

Ja, also hier sind wir jetzt natürlich auch auf 5.6

SlimSaberKat 5.6 is ready for download.
SlimTeam also released gapps 5.6

Besides the official Slim updates this build also includes:

Kernel-Alucard-V2.6.7g For 4.4 AOSP
proper exFAT fix (thanks to @fusionjack for his commit's)
backup and restore script for Xposed binaries is included (works starting the next update you flash after flashing this)
