-differences between IMM76D and IMM76I are ALL in the Galaxy Nexus kernel
-we updated the Galaxy Nexus kernel to Faux’s 16m kernel by default, which incorporates the fixes from IMM76I
-fixed long press home on navbar being on by default
-fixed volume zoom playing sounds with video camera
-made flash-off indicator visible in camera
-AVRCP: fixed soft reboots with certain players
-fixed brightness slider jumping when toggling auto-brightness
-speed up opening of init.d tweaks in RC
-added description to LED setting on RC to be clearer on what it does
it only changes the DEFAULT LED color. Apps may override it, and most do.
-attempted to fix freezing clock yet again
-fixed wifi icon being cut of
-fixed color multipliers being doubled
-new gamma ranges from -100 to 100 defaulting to 0
your kernel (if it supports gamma tuning) might have a different default, so just keep that in mind (60 was the previous default)
-fixed small icons when airplane mode & wifi are enabled
-added shortcuts to toggle torch & toggle navbar
that means you can add these to nav bar as regular actions or long press actions, click “Custom app”, scroll down to “System UI”, toggle nav bar & torch should be there.
You can also add these shortcuts to your desktop. They do NOT work correctly from the lockscreen, yet.
-Fixed decrease lights in custom backlight settings
-a500 renamed to picasso and updated
-everything should work now except slow GPS lock times


Notes (read them!):
this change log is differences between build 34. If you’re coming from M4, you’ll need to read all the change logs from the builds between M4 and M5 (THERE ARE A LOT!)
When you flash themes or mods or kernels, keep in mind that they can change almost any aspect of the ROM and introduce bugs and inconsistencies if not properly packaged for AOKP or not properly updated for Milestone 5.
If you experience a bug after flashing a mod/theme/kernel, do a NANDROID (so you can return to it after testing!), re-flash AOKP and wipe, then test to see if the bug still exists. ONLY THEN REPORT IT TO THE BUG TRACKER.

NOT ALL DEVICES ARE MADE EQUALLY! Some device still have KNOWN bugs!
There are many devices which we support that aren’t as bug free as the Galaxy Nexus or other AOSP devices (such as the Nexus S)
That said, we try and incorporate fixes for all devices that we support from many sources (CyanogenMod, evervolv, Code Aurora Forum, other teams and individual contributors). We thank those teams for making their code open source and available for us to use so you can put AOKP on your device
below are the bugs we are aware of for specific devices.

p4: Galaxy Tab 10.1” -- no camera, rotating device causes a slight flicker, potential touch screen issues.
supersonic: camera works, panorama mode & video camera does NOT
galaxysmtd: I have read that it’s GPS doesn’t work 100%
inc: I have read that some people experience device instability and reboots. No one on the team has an incredible to test on, so we can’t confirm or deny this exists.
p999: g2x - browser crashes while switching to landscape, video recorder does not work, USB tethering does not work
p990: O2x - gps does not work at all, video recorder does not work, other potential inconsistencies, potential ROM Control FCs if language is set to anything other than english
pyramid: sensation - 480p video recording is broke (720, 1080 work fine), usb tether does not work
tenderloin: no camera
there may be more bugs that are unlisted, feel free to report them to the bug tracker

MAKE A NANDROID
highly recommended: wipe data/factory reset in recovery - absolutely required if coming from another ROM or AOKP that is running Android 4.0.3

flash Gapps
reboot

Gerade Milestone5 über Build 32 geflasht - ohne wipe, lediglich das kernel-cleaning-script ausgeführt und anschl. die Rom und die gapps hinterher. Läuft bisher ohne Probleme. Jetzt flashe ich noch meinen Lieblingskerkes, den Midnight 143LR hinterher und hoffe, der verträgt sich mit Milestone5.
EDIT: da sehe ich gerade, es gibt da auch schon einen neuen....

Für mich ist es keine Option auf einen älteren Buipd zurückzuflsehen

Hello,
habe seit heute Milestone 5 drauf und nach einrichten und personalisieren kann ich berichten, dass das SGS sehr gut damit läuft. Den Devil Kernel habe ich gleich nach dem M5 flash, installiert (Devil2_0.72_i9000_CFS_BLN_CMC). Meine 20 wichtigsten Apps habe ich im Market problemlos raufgespielt, weitere 24 Apps habe ich mit Titanium wiederhergestellt. Alles ohne freezes oder sonst. Abstürze, reboots etc. Getestet habe ich Fotobearbeitung, Fotografie, HD Videos aufgenommen und abgespielt, WLan, BT, Musik usw. also alle Basics laufen, GPS fix nach erstem Anlauf ca. 5 Min. beim zweiten nach ca. 10 sec. 8 Sat. eingefangen. Navi konnte ich noch nicht testen.
Telefonieren geht wie schon bei M4 mit dem Nexus KF1 Modem tadellos.
Für eine Langzeitaussage ist es noch zu früh, sieht aber sehr fein aus außer optisch, es ist (noch) ziemlich hässlich. Kein Vergleich zu BlueLightning od. Slim ICS aber da kommt sicher in den nächsten Tagen was nach.

Nachtrag #1: Touch Wake und Bluetooth Pairing funktionieren nicht immer. D. h. weiter warten a. einen neuen Kernel auf Standard Werte im Kernel ruckelt es auch noch recht heftig. Beim Devil auf "lagfrei" gestellt = ruckelfrei, leider funktionieren auch nicht recht einfache App Widgets wie z.B. MinimalisticText usw. ruckelt ohne Ende hängt und stürzt dann ab..... Schade

Nachtrag #2: Bin auf AOKP 4.0.4 INFINITUM gewechselt. ca. 1,5x schneller als MS4 u. MS5 noch dazu funktioniert wirklich alles bestens und vor allem LAGFREI sowie ohne RUCKLER !!! Aussehen ist auch TOP ähnlich slimICS..... MS5 ist mir noch zu beta....

2/3g-Toggel ist wieder in der Rom-Konfig drin, funzt aber immer noch nicht. Genau wie PlayMusic - scheint auch nicht zu laufen.

hab noch was gefunden: in galerie markiert ihr mal ein paar fotos: -> schaut auf die leiste ganz oben. bei mir erscheint sie in 2 verschiedenen farben
das gleiche bei google mail app wenn ich mehrfachselektiere

Hello,
ich habe die Google News&Wetter.apk Widget in Minimalistic schwarz/weiß aus BlueLightning extrahiert, funktioniert einwandfrei auf Milestone5. Einfach die beigefügte Datei a.d. int. Karte abspeichern und mit einem apk. Installer installieren (z.B. Android Assistant-Market)

Dann solltest dir die theme von zeitgeist ansvhauen dann bleibst auf den neusten stand. Er hat das flashimage so gebaut das wirklich nur die png.s getauscht werden. Ist echt eine gute idee das so zu bauen das nur die png getauscht werden und nicht immer die komplette apk so muss man das theme nicht jedesmal komplett neu bauen.

Hello Matze,
danke für die Info, dass wusste ich gar nicht. Ich habe noch das Zeitgeist181 Stock Theme welches ich auf BlueLighting111 drauf hatte. Kann man das komplette Theme auf Milestone5 per CWM recovery installieren, oder nur die Framework-res.apk tauschen?

@MATZE: vielen Dank für dein Angebot, hat sich erledigt, bin auf 4.0.4 AOKP-INFINITUM gewechselt. Das ist 1,5x schneller und vor allem lagfreier als MS5 noch dazu sieht es wahnsinnig gut aus. Very "Nobel" nur blue u. black...
