"Nach Monaten der Arbeit wurde der lang erwartete PACman 4.2.2 ROM veröffentlicht. Es bedarf noch einiger Arbeit und es fehlen sicherlich noch einige Teile. Dennoch ist der ROM grundstabil für den Normal Nutzer. Wir arbeiten täglich daran die fehlenden Teile zu implementieren. Also, was ist nun der PACman ROM? Die Idee war den Flashaholikern und ROM-Jägern alles was XDA zu bieten hat in einem bloatfreien ROM zusammenzustellen. Dies ist der erste ROM seiner Art mit einem hybriden Framework, welches aus CM, AOKP und AOSPA besteht. Das macht PACman zu einer perfekten Kombination der drei."

PIE FAQ

Q. What is PIE?
A. PIE is a new way to interact with your notifications. It provides easy gesture based interaction with all your system information without taking up valuable screen space. PIE is what you see in this image.

Q. How do I access Pie?
A. Swipe your finger from the pie gravity edge (default is the bottom) toward the center of your screen. While keeping your finger on the screen, drag your finger to the desired button and release to click.

Q. My PIE doesn't look like the ones in the screenshots. I don't see the Clock or notifications.
A. Notifications work either through the status bar or PIE. If the status bar is enabled, PIE reverts to just the softkeys. To enable the full PIE experience, enable Expanded Desktop by going to Settings -> System -> Power Menu -> Expanded Desktop (Status bar hidden). Access the power menu and turn Expanded Desktop on.

Q. How do I change PIE colors?
A. Go to Settings -> Hybrid Properties -> Interface and change the Navigation bar color.

Q. Buttons or keyboard rows near the edge of my screen are nonresponsive.
A. PIE's trigger area overlay is covering the edge of your screen. Change either the Trigger Area or Pie Gravity in Settings -> System -> PIE Settings.

Q. I don't like PIE, how do I turn it off?
A. To disable PIE set Trigger Area to None in Settings -> System -> Pie Settings. Remember to disable Expanded Desktop to turn status bar on again.

ROM FAQ

Q.Do I need to do a full wipe before installing this ROM?
A. Unless coming from a previous version of PACman it is highly recommended to do a full wipe before installing. This includes coming from ParanoidAndroid ROMs.

Q.What do the settings in Hybrid Properties do?
A. ParanoidAndroid has an extensive guide to the settings at this thread: [GUIDE][PARANOIDANDROID] A Complete Compendium on ParanoidPreferences [PA-Settings] Please do not post questions related to PA Settings in this thread, they are not ROM specific and all we'll do is point you to that thread.

Q.How do I turn on the Navigation Bar??
A.To enable the NavBar open Hybrid Properties, swipe the screen to the right to peek through to the menu.
Select Interface, now set your desired NavBar size with the slider.

Q.Something isn't working. What do I do?
A.First, make sure you are running the latest stable version. Try a backup data using Titanium and do a full wipe reinstall. If the problem persists, report what it is and what triggers it so the dev can duplicate it.

Q.What is the difference between normal Gapps and PA Gapps?
A.The PA Gapps are more angled for a multi DPI setup, although I've personally had no issues with the normal Gapps

Q.Where are the Samsung features and can I use the S-pen?
A.This is an AOSP rom and therefore it doesn't have any of the Samsung apps (SNote etc) because they need the Touchwiz framework and yes you can use the Spen but its functions are very limited at the minute in time... If you want the Samsung Apps and Spen functionality don't use this rom... simple

Werde die Rom morgen mal drauf machen. Habe jetzt die Probam und bin eigentlich ganz zufrieden bis auf das ich alle paar Stunden einen Benachrichtigungston höre ohne das irgendwas vorgefallen ist. In der Status leiste ist nichts zu sehen. Das nervt auf Dauer ganz schön. Hoffe das ist bei dieser Rom dann nicht mehr.

Also ich habe die Rom jetzt ein paar Tage drauf und kann wirklich nur gutes berichten. Inzwischen ist die Rc1 Milestone Version draußen welche ich auch sofort geflasht habe. Läuft super schnell und sehr Akku schonend. Bis jetzt keinen einzigen FC gehabt oder sonst irgendwelche negativen Auffälligkeiten. Kann die Rom also war wärmstens empfehlen, bei mir zumindest bleibt die erst mal drauf.

Auch Updates kommen regelmäßig, Nightlies fast jeden tag. Probiert es einfach aus, ich bin mir sicher das auch ihr nicht enttäuscht sein werdet.

Also allgemeine Frage zu dieser ROM bzw Neuaufsetzen der ROM und der Ordnerstrukturen....

Es geht darum ,wenn ich neuerdings eine ROM nach FactoryReset komplett neu aufspiele,komme ich nicht mehr ganz in der Ordnerstruktur klar :/

Externe SD ist ja ok.... aber die interne SD...
Habe da Storage/emulated/0 ..... aber mittlerweile rutscht das irgendwie immer eine Ebene weiter runter.... Mittlerweile habe ich da Storage/emulated/0/0/0/0

In jeder "0" Ebende quasi habe ich die gängigsten Ordner...(DCIM,Whatsapp,TitaniumBackup etc) Aber weiss immer nicht welche nun die eig interne SD ist...Finde das voll verwirrend..Kann mich bitte mal jemand aufklären??? Leider ist es via SuFu schwer zu suchen :/

Nachtrag: emulated/0 scheint aktuell meine Interne SD zu sein...Zumindest landen Screenshots und Bilder der Cam dort....
Aber in diese Verzeichnisstrucktur finde ich wie gesagt immer noch den Ordner 0 (darin die bekannten Ordner) und wieder Ordner 0 (4 Ebenen) Glaube immer wenn ich neu flashe schiebt er eine Ebene drüber kann das sein???? Das ist echt voll unübersichtlich und raubt auch Speicher

Erstmal als kleine Erklärung: Dieser 0 Ordner hat mit Android 4.2.2 zu tun. Der ist nämlich dafür da, verschiedene Nutzerkonten zu verwalten, da Android ab 4.2 mehrere Nutzer unterstützt. Jeder weitere Nutzer wird mit einer höheren Zahl angelegt, also der Standard-/ erste Nutzer bekommt den Ordner "0", der nächste "1" und immer so weiter. Das Problem ist, dass der 0 Ordner selbst dann angelegt wird, wenn es nur einen Nutzer gibt.

Warum andererseits dieses Problem mit den mehreren "0" Ordnern nur manche Nutzer betrifft, die meisten anderen fröhlich 4.2 ROMs flashen können ohne Komplikationen ist mir unklar. Was für eine Recovery benutzt du denn?

Auf jeden Fall scheint eine Lösung für dieses Problem folgende zu sein: Mal in die 0 Ordner gehen und die Dateien in den jeweils höheren 0 Ordner verschieben (sofern sie nicht doppelt sind) und den 0 Ordner danach jeweils löschen.

CWM 6.0.4. Wenn es bei jedem so wäre, würde ich ja sagen das es so gewollt ist und nach neu aufsetzen quasi die "eigenen Dateien" geschützt/erhalten bleiben und im unterordner /0 nochmal abgelegt werden. Aber Ok werde das machen und diese löschen nach einem Backup

Und nebenbei zur Rom. Hatten das Thema ja schon DirtyKlot... Akku Verbrauch von Android OS jetzt unauffällig... Dafür Medien recht hoch (beobachte ich) und Display zählt teils später mit (nach aktualisieren klicken) oder jetzt gerade nach Neustart garnicht in Liste siehe Bild...

Also die ersten Tage war ich bei ca 28h auf Akku und ca 3h Display On nicht so begeistert...
Android OS war wieder Platz 1 der Verbraucher (Inet ist voll von Berichten).
Jetzt nach ca 1 Woche auf einmal ist es schlagartig besser....
Nix am Kernel geändert ect... Einzige was ich mal gemacht hab... Alle APPs beendet (auch Excluded). Evt ist standardmässig eine App aktiv die zuviel am AKku saugt. Ich kann es mir auch nicht mehr erklären :/ Selbst BBS etc gibt keine Info welche APp es sein könnte, muss also irgendwie zu Android selbst gehören. Mein Akku bleibt jetzt zumindest beim Surfen im WLAN minutenlang stehen bis 1% purzelt (Display ca 25%). Über Nacht bei 8h ca 2% Verlust (WLAN/3G/BT aus, Netz an). Android OS immer noch recht weit oben scheint aber ja dann doch nicht soviel zu ziehen.

Achso...Habe lediglich CPU auf 1,2Ghz gedrosselt. Hatte ich aber schon länger so und trotzdem nur 3h Display und jetzt könnte ich auf 8-9h kommen

Nachtrag... Post bezieht sich noch auf Stable Release RC1!!!! 3.94 ist mir noch zu unsicher!!!

PS Paranoid selbst und PA ROM ProBam sind schon auf CM10.2 bzw 4.3....
Weiss einer wann Update von PacMan zu erwarten ist???
