Hi,

I will take the lead on releases of this tool as Bin4ry will have less time to work on it.

FlashTool now is something like an all in one Tool for your phone.

It can:
- Flash original Images (Android 1.6 & Android 2.1 Images)
- Root your phone (Only if the phone is on a 2.1 android version)
- Install xRecovery, Busybox
- Clean your Rom (remove /system/apps apps of your choice) (Be careful, unless you really know what you do, do not modify the default list. This can make your phone stuck at the SE Logo)
- Clear dalvik cache
- Optimize (install of JIT v2)
- Customize (installs apps found in the custom/apps folder of the flashtool)
- Clean uninstalled (remove any references to system apps removed in the Clean (root needed) step)
- Edit /system/build.prop

[Upd] Optimize should work for any device (X10, X10mini/pro, X8)

[Bug] Flashing should not anymore hang if flash goes wrong. An error should be thrown and flash aborted

0.2.6:

[Upd] Flashing 1.6 firmwares could lead to a FC with Timescape. 1.6 bundles must have the preset.ta file if this one exists. otherwise the flash will be uncomplete.
[Upd] Updated the "turn to flashmode" wait box. (thanks to rendeiro2005 for the animated gif)
[Upd] Updated to xRecovery 0.3
[Upd] Decryption now opens the bundle creation when complete.
[Bug] Correction of a bug under certain scenario with ROM cleaner (when switching firmware version)

0.2.5:

[Bug] Root not working properly (regression from 0.2.3 to 0.2.4). Fixed.

[New Feature] Added a basic build.prop editor.

0.2.4:

[Bug] Clean (root needed) task bug resolved. A new button "Ask Root Perms" has been added to be sure the flashtool has root accesses. All task which need root access are disabled while this Ask Root task is not complete.

[New Feature] Firmwares have to come bundled in one file named with a ftf extension (ftf for Flash Tool Firmware). A Create Bundle feature has been added to the tool to create your own firmware bundles. (So no need to Redownload a firmware you already have. Just bundle it). This way it will be easier to package / distribute / integrate firmwares as they come out.


0.2.3:
[Bug] SEUS decrypt fixed
[New Feature] Wipe Userdata is set to default YES


HOWTO:

Flashing (from version 0.2.4) :
Add ftf firmwares files in the firmwares folder

Click the flash button, choose your firmware and wait for the tool to ask about turning the phone to flashmode. Then do it and click OK
Flashing will begin ...


What's next :

Features I think about adding after 0.2.5 :

- A xRecovery rom manager (Bin4ry)
- A Filemanager
- A plugin system so that anybody with java skills will be able to extend features.

Any other ideas are welcome.


IMPORTANT:
- You should always wipe userdata if you switch between Android versions (1.6 <-> 2.1). If not your phone will keep restarting all the time. This is the same for some providerbrandings even if you flash between same Android versions. So if you have this restarting problem, flash again with Wipe Userdata. If you don't want to loose your apps you have to backup them with Titanium or some other backup tool!

kann es sein das es nicht für 64 Bit Systeme ausgelegt ist? Auch der Versuch es mit der Kompatibilität von win 7 geht es net zu starten?
Also net das ich jetzt flashen wollte, wollte es mir nur mal anschauen

Hast du winrar drauf ? Ist eine sich selbst extrahierende Datei Ich nutze Win7 64bit und habe keine Probleme nach dem entpacken

bei klick auf "CLEAN (root needed)" kommt:

ERROR - please connect your device and Enable USB debugging

- mein x10 ist bereits gerootet
- USB debugging ist auch eingeschaltet

Jaaa, du machst irgendwie Unsinn.
Vllt ist das auch undeutlich aus gedrückt.
Der Connect Knopf ist NUR fürs Flashen gedacht! Nicht für die anderen Optionen!

Das beudetet:
Wenn du Root , Clean etc machen willst. Bleibt das Telefon ganz normal an, USB-Debugging an und USB-Kabel dran, das war es dann auch schon.
Also nicht Connect drücken oder so, einfach auf die entsprechende Option klicken.

Connect ist wirklich NUR für den Flashmodus.(Das Telefon ist ja auch aus, also ist USB-Debugging ja auch aus, deswegen dachte ich es wäre eindeutig, denn USB-Debugging aktivieren im Flashmodus geht ja nicht)

Du bist aber nicht der erste, wird in der nächsten Version verändert damit das nichtmehr passiert!

oder ggf. den Connect und Flash Button Optisch von den anderen trennen,

der erste gedanke ist das handy zu "Connecten", wenn ich da nicht der erste
bin müssen ja andere den gleichen Gedankenweg gehabt haben, logischerweise

ansonnsten sehr gute Arbeit, weiter machen ;-)

was evtl. mir persönlich noch wichtig wäre ist zu wissen was eig. im
hintergrund passiert wenn ich bspw. auf "Optimize" klicke, wird dann JIT
Installiert ?.. oder wird es auf ein anderen weg Optimiert, das gleiche mit
"Optimize", dem ein oder anderen Interessiert es bestimmt was eigendlich
im hintergrund am Handy vorgenommen wird.

ps. hab jetzt soweit alles ausprobiert, funktioniert einwandfrei,
ein tool mit dem man alles wichtige machen kann, was will man mehr ?

Software die auch Funktioniert und weiter entwickelt wird ist mir
bestimmt auch eine kleine Spende wert ;-) ... und das ist hier der Fall

Danke für die schnelle Antwort Dann werd ich das mal testen Ich muss auch sagen das ich deine Arbeit sehr schätze und es einfach genial finde was du erschaffst wozu Sony eigne Leute zu Blöd und zu faul sind!

Das andere wäre, es wer wirklich nett wenn du zu denen einzeln funktion noch ne kleine information dazu geben kannst wie (Optimize und Personliesiren)

Werde das die Tage mal genauer Dokumentieren, aktuell sind wir noch in der "heißen" Phase
Da wird noch viel an Fehler behoben bevor wir unseren geplanten neuen Funktionen einbauen =)

In der nächsten major Version wird es zB einen Rommanager geben, damit ist es möglich ein CustomRom direkt über das Tool zu installieren, man braucht also nichtmehr manuell xRecovery bedienen sondern das FlashTool übernimmt alles

Freut mich das es euch gefällt

Bei Optimize wird JIT installiert in der dalvik-cache gelöscht.

Bei Clean werden "safe" Apps entfernt. Wen das jetzt vor der Doku schon interessiert kann sich mal die X10Flasher.jar mit Winrar/zip entpacken und den Ordner org/adb/config näher angucken.
Weiterhin guckt mal durch den custom Ordner im Hauptverzeichnis, dort liegen zB im ROOT ordner einige Dateien die man sich mit einem Texteditor angucken kann. =)
