OnePlus 2: Offizielle Vorstellung am 27. Juli - Per Livestream und in Virtual Reality in aller Welt

Frohe Kunde für alle Fans des neuen OnePlus 2: Nicht nur, dass dessen CPU vor nicht all zu langer Zeit offiziell bestätigt wurde (ein Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (v.2.1)), jetzt gibt es auch ebenso offizielle Meldungen zum Launch-Termin (27. Juli), sowie zur Art des Launches (Virtual Reality-unterstützt). Wie OnePlus in ihrem offiziellen Forum mitteilen, wird morgen in einem Monat die Ära eines neuen Smartphones anbrechen - die des neuen OnePlus 2. Dieses Gerät wird vermutlich ebensoviele Anhänger finden, wie sein Vorgänger und wird mit seinem verhältnismäßig günstigen Preis die Konkurrenz auf höchstem Niveau ärgern. Dabei wird nicht nur die Technik und der Preis des neuen Produktes für Aufsehen sorgen, sondern auch dessen Launch-Termin selbst - nicht etwa wegen des Datums, sondern wegen der Art und Weise der Vorstellung. Die Produktpräsentation wird in vollem Umfang über Virtual Reality (VR) mitzuerleben sein, ein absolutes Novum, selbst in der Technik-Branche. So können interessierte Menschen aus aller Welt die Veranstaltung so miterleben, als wenn sie selbst auf der Bühne ständen. Auf der OnePlus Cardboard Page wird erklärt, wie die Sache abläuft und wie auch ihr an diesem Event in einer bisher ungeahnten Art teilnehmen könnt. Wir sind auf jeden Fall gespannt auf dieses neue Device und freuen uns schon einmal prophylaktisch sehr auf diesen Tag. Ihr auch?

For the OnePlus 2 launch, we didn’t want that barrier between us and you; we want to invite you into our world, because you’re a major part of it. That is why we will be unveiling the OnePlus 2 to the world completely in VR. Starting July 27 at 7:00pm PT, everyone around the world can stream our launch.

Earlier this month, we teased a “secret” launch project when we asked our fans to create videos of their OnePlus stories and best smartphone photography. The fans who won those contests will help us present the entire launch of the OnePlus 2 in VR.

A VR launch lets you stand right next to our team and our fans as we unveil our new flagship. You’ll be able to look around as you check out the phone in a new way and maybe even find a few hidden Easter eggs. It’s a new way of thinking about a product launch. We aren’t talking at you; we are talking with you.

When we thought about doing this launch in VR, we wanted to make sure the viewing experience was simple and straightforward. We love the existing cardboard VR headsets, but we saw some room for improvement, and decided to design our own custom headsets. We spent a lot of time at the drawing board tweaking them until they were perfect. Our version is tailored perfectly to the One, as well as fast and easy to assemble. We didn’t cut any corners on production, and we’re definitely losing money on this. But, we want to share them with everyone.
